Whoever posts in the most threads WINS!
FYI: There are movie and comic spoilers in these links.

Over on the Rotten Tomatoes Fantastic Four forum, ROTTEN321 seen the bootleg of the new movie. Since he read the comics (as he states plenty of times), he hates it and doesn't mind saying so... a lot. It's back and forth comic book/movie super-nerdiness with race issues, elitist comments, name-calling, and something about liberals thrown in. ROTTEN321 does not stop posting. He also must be heard on basically EVERY SINGLE THREAD ON THE FORUM. ROTTEN321 even has an arch rival known as Dreamknight who brings the grudge match in multiple threads to make sure everyone knows he loved the movie and ROTTEN321 IS WRONG!

Heh, we just got back from seeing it, it wasn't half bad in that "hey, it's a rainy summer night" type of way. Some funny lines, some wonderfully cheesy setups, some bits that were painful and really bad choices (the blind woman storyline irked me), but overall? Well, man does the Human Torch look good in that bodysuit. Plus, superpowers and stuff.

Of course, I'm not a critic, so according to Rotten321 that means...well, I'm not sure. His logic is somewhat baffling.

Fabulous bits: IF you know the history of Marvel, was Stan Lee's original idea, but at that time, Liberals thought it to be too disgusting. Hee hee hee hee hee!

(the blind woman storyline irked me)

I read the novelization before seeing the movie, and well, I'll just say that there's a lot more about the blind woman in the book than in the movie. I was extrodinarily pleased to see how little of the blind woman they left in.

Well, man does the Human Torch look good in that bodysuit.

He looks good out of that bodysuit, too.

I liked that storyline muchly. I thought the movie itself was fanfuckingtastic, as well, and I hate comic books and their movie counterparts.

but, but, blindchick is one of the few things I even know about the comics!

I think I may actually know her name.

Man, who pissed in his cheerios? :O

Me, I liked it. Two things mildly irked me:

Doom. He has a point there, but I won't grant him that. Doom was like, like -- like an evil Batman! I liked that about him.

Sue. And her apparent innability to button her clothing. Not that hard, sweety. Try. PLEASE.

But Johnny and I are so running away and having babies, which makes it all better.

Just a warning that we're gonna start cracking down on nws icons soon. Well, not a warning-warning. Just notification of future intent.

The guy needs to chill out...it's a movie...it's entertainment. Chill please.

I would so be a "Human Torch fangirl" if I lived in Marvel Comics world. Yum.

Has anyone read Dreamknight's comments?

Amoung the highlights, he apparently: owns two gyms, 2 clinics, a weekly exercise show, a patent, a book deal, a giant house with swimming pool, and a beautiful wife. He then lists his weight lift stats. Apparently, this millionaire types with -lol- attached to the ends of each of his sentences.

Honestly, he's more wank-tastic fun than rotten in that thread.

4) The plot, and the story line stink. No matter what anyone else will tell you. Reed and Doom were not friends or allies. They were adversaries.

Um...Reed and Von Doom are not friends in the movie, either. And even the short lived alliance they form is more about animosity than friendship. Von Doom accepts because a.) he can make a shitload of money and b.) he gets to lord of Reed...and not neccessarily in that order.

The plot may be weak at points, but the characters are superb.
