The young and the totally insane.
yukidragon posts in her lj a rather long bit of drama over here.

To sum it up briefly: Guy meets girl. Guy decides he likes girl's character and that he is in love with her and has married her on the astral plane somewhere. Guy wants girl to bring character over from the astral plane so he can be with her.

Yeah, you read that right. She's got testimonials, logs of conversation saved, screenshots, the works. He's also apparently been Something Awful as the Awful Link of the Day last year and is more recently featured on Portal of Evil.

Oh, and that's not the end of this either. Naturally, people are going to comment. Such as an anonymous 'third party' who wants to settle matters. (This is quite beautiful wank in progress, actually.)

This all sound familiar to me, and may have been wanked previously. So, here's an update for all you true believers.

While the guy is clearly crazy, the situation is pretty ironic. I had to laugh at the whole cease and desist because you're raping the nature of my OC thing. To that, I have the same response as I have to people like Lee Goldberg who don't like fan fic writers using their characters--you put it out there, it's no longer yours to control. It's pretty damned hilarious that someone who actually writes fic and role plays tries to pull that shit.

I firmly believe that the internet runs off the brain-fumes of the crazy people. Without the batshit insane, it would run out of steam and cease to exist.

I do not mean that Kronos made a fan character and had him marry her in a story. I mean that he truly, honestly believed that HE had married Kat. He believed that Kat visited him in reality from the Astral Plane to have sex with him, acting completely unlike herself, and he would write it all down. He also believed that characters like Sonic, Sally, Goku, Aerith, Sephiroth, and others would visit him as well. He also believed that he fought evil demons and could throw ki blasts that even Goku could not beat. It's beyond what any Mary Sue or Gary Stu writer I had ever seen up until that point. He cannot tell fantasy from reality and he will rearrange reality as he sees fit so that he cannot be wrong. If someone tries to correct him on this, then he will paint them as evil and have his reality dictate them as his enemies who are inherently wrong.

It's a long read through, but it's sometimes worth it to see some of the comedy gold that comes out of Kronos' mouth.

K was acting rather nervous and kept dragging out the fact that he wanted to tell me something because he was afraid that I wouldn't believe him and block him (I was tempted to do it already, not that he knew that) until I got frustrated and just asked him what it was he wanted to tell me. K then proceeded to tell me a lengthy explanation that through "Mystical Arts", a friend named SA, "Astral Projection", "artistic visualization" that was invented by "anime artists", he discovered an "alternate Earth on the other side of the sun". This "alternate Earth" was, in fact, the home of Sonic the Hedgehog: Mobius. It also was apparently the same world that Kat and all my other characters existed in.


WTF doesn't even come close. We need something new to describe this level of batshitness.

That he is so doggedly persistent is not the surprising thing about all this. That it is so important to him to get the friggin permission from her is what boggles.

If he had any balls at all he'd tell her and her friends to go screw themselves and that he was going to write anything he damn well pleased with this character, permission or not.

Wow and yikes. Though, if someone did that to one of my characters, I'm pretty sure I'd just look at them funny and then go off and laugh with my friends. Don't know, it's never happened, but I'd like to think I'm sane enough that the delusions of others won't make me feel raped... =/ But it's never happened to me, so I can't say for sure.
