Hey, y'all.

Just a few modly announcements.

Some of you may have noticed this by now, but we've been going around notifying people that we're gonna start cracking down on non-work-safe icons. Work safe here is being defined as no exposed genitalia or nipples, or giant curse words. Or overtly sexual situations.

None of that pg, pg-13, nc-17 crap because that is so debatable. Please follow our guidelines. You're allowed to use your nws icons everywhere else on journalfen. Excepting, of course, communities that specifically ban them like us and we'd really appreciate it if you just remember what keyword triggers what when you comment. We don't want to, but we will crack down on you, kay? Thank you.

Second announcement: YOU CAN NOW CONTACT THE MODS (not that you couldn't before, but now you have an email address) so go check out the fandom wank userinfo to get our email as well as finding out Apoplexia's sexual history.

And our final announcement, Hugsnkisses is back. The day right after I finally give up and put her in the missing in action column. Why? Because she sucks.

I...don't actually watch enough TV to give you a real answer? But you wouldn't get "wank" or "fanny" over here on TV. At least not unless it's one of 5's freaky late night porn offerings.

(I know, I shouldn't insult them anymore. They gave me CSI and House afterall.)

oh, see, I was thinking of the british comedies I have laying around and 'wanker' gets tossed around a fair bit. I wasn't sure if I was watching something especially racy all of a sudden.

"Wanker" I would actually class as less offensive that "wank". "Wanker" is just a name, like "bugger". Whereas "wank" is a verb.

Still wouldn't use either in front of boss/small child/elderly grandmother though. My mum used to fine my uncle's for saying "bugger" in front of us when we were small. Fine would probably have been higher for "wanker" and by the time you go up to "wank" I think we'd've left the money part behind and moved on to lectures.

Me too, I think.

Plus, a lot of UK comedies (stuff like Men Behaving Badly, AbFab, Black Books) I think goes out post-watershed anyway, when that would be fine.

I know this is EXTRAORDINARILY late in regards to the date of this post but I can't help pointing out in the spoilers for the upcoming Season 7 for CSI (don't worry, it's not a big spoiler), one of the episode titles is 'Fannysmacking.' Cue hilarious laughter and /boggling from the other sides of the ocean.

Methinks it'll be renamed before airtime, but just... wow guys. GJ on the universally accepted ep titles, even though you don't advertise the actual titles until after the episode airs.
