Harmony: The Reckoning
Over on LJ, angua9 posts an incredibly long anti-Harmionian manifesto, wherein she names names and accuses Harmionians of misunderstanding love and being elitist bitches.

The comments start out as shouts of "Word" and the like, though there's a lovely comment comparing Harmionians to Death Eaters in the middle. Somewhere around page two, the Harmionians show up, wondering why we can't all just get along.

There would be more links, but her layout makes it hard. It's been linked over at fanthropology, wherein the H/Hr shippers have thus far been compared to Randites and angua9 has been compared to the Sith.

Not too much wank yet, but it seems past the clairvoyantwank stage.

Wow this is sad. Not the fact that you wrote this, but the fact that people of different ships just cant stop taking shots at each other.

I'm a H/Hr shipper and fan-artist. I'm not a crazy person that has jumped off the deep end because my chosen ship did sail. I dont debate these ships in forums or battle to prove which is the "right" one. I like the H/Hr ship because its my personal taste. I enjoy reading the fanfics and enjoy creating artwork for them too.

Now I'm not here to justify my ship or to convert anyone. Never was my thing to preach.

I'm posting a reply to ask if we can simple set all the fighting aside. All things like this post creates (and anti-Heron posts you sited) is more hate.

Isn't this about book? In a fantasy world? Can't we get back to having fun, and stop the all the finger pointing? Like I told other before. Its time to move on and get back to enjoying HP.

So I have 3 other co-workers in my group that read HP. Of course we had to go over this book too. I should first tell you that they are not shippers, and really don't know that I am either. So we started out clean.

All of them at first said, "I love this book it was the best one yet. Don't you think so too?"

Me: ". . . .not really, it was weak and had so many plot holes. I found it to be the worst honestly."

All of them: O.O ". . . . . . . . . . . wth are you talking about??"

hehehe and then I started pointing out all the mistakes and the shortcomings of the book. Two of them began to see my point and after a few minutes agreed with me. Hell one of them (an editor here at HC) started pointing out things that didn't follow the past books and really needed to be edited or changed. There was only one girl who stood her ground and didn't give in. Only to come to find out she really thinks Ron is a cutey and this book was great for him. sigh.......ok

The best part was they all loved Ginny and thought H/G pairing was great. Until I told them of her as his equal. The quote from JK. They shit a brick! "WTFOMG she is in no way his equal!!! HERMIONE is Harry's equal!!" Ahh the light has shown through and now they see the truth. Soon they where talk and saying, "Theres no way Hermione can stay with Ron very long. He's too dumb for her. It may be cute for a little bit, but she'll get frustrated very soon and dump him."

I was falling out laughing at this point. My work was done and two out of three big-fans of Hp see the truth of the new book. Life is funny that way. I find great joy in showing them the errors in the book and how easy it is to predict the future in book 7.

ETAA: And then, Falcon the Harmionian showed up and everything went really wanky. He replies to being wanked on his LJ, which more or less boils down to "LOL, I did it on purpose!"
