MarsInvestigations.net interviewed Alison MacInnis, an actress who had one line in Veronica Mars's second episode, a few months ago.

Alison is a bit of jokester and answers the question:

Do you mind if I call you Alison? No? How about Ms. MacInnis? Allison Mack? AliMac? Madison? "Veronica"?

with:
[sputtering] What? What?? Allison Mack? Do I look anything like that midget on Smallville? Pfff!!! Heheh, actually, she's a cutie, but the nifty name belongs to her. AliMac? Sure, fine, kind of makes me sound like a beefy trucker in a mesh hat. [spitting on ground and rearranging pants], Veronica? Nah...Buffy? Maybe...

The interview is found by veaglarwen, who takes offense at the midget comment:

I have half a mind to write in to that site and let them have an earful or two. I don't care if "AliMac" was joking or not. Her statement was incredibly RUDE. i won't write in though, but you all are more than welcomed to.

The interviewer himself chimes in:

I was the one who made sure we included Allison Mack in that question, because I, too, am a big fan, and it was too amusing that their names were so similar, especially given the early Veronica/Chloe comparisons.

If you couldn't tell, the entire interview had a very jokey tone to it, and she was obviously having a lot of fun with it. As far as I can tell, you're getting upset over the fact that she playfully called her a "midget," right before calling her a "cutie" and lauding her "nifty name." You do realize that this is the same interview in which she claims Queen Bansheera took all the best cookies from the craft service. I had a good laugh, and I bet Allison would too. So should you.
