The Dark Side tempts FF7 fans
Final Fantasy 7 fansite ff7ac.net posts that someone's ripped the DVD-sequel (currently available in Japan only) and it's been posted on various torrent sites for download.

Wank sparks in the comments over whether downloading it makes you a true fan or not, proclamations of "I won't/will download it!" along with the 50-odd comments of "link plz!" (and various spoilers, or comments parading as spoilers.) People call each other names, stand on moral high grounds, and type in netspeak.

Not the most dramatic thing in the universe, but still funny.

Because to be honest, Squeenix have fucked around with us enough. I *will* buy it when it comes out in the US (since it's not going to come out in my country for a looong while after that, I guess) but, for the moment? If it's out there, I want to see it. :/

Saw the trailer, and what I could gather from it is that Cloud and Sephiroth are having a custody battle over demonic magical children with a lot of domestic violence.

I do so love the assumption so many people are making - that if you download it now, there is obviously NO WAY EVA that you might possibly also have the intention of buying the DVD when it actually comes out. You know, to see it in really good quality. And have the official subs. And all the pretty extras.

Yes, I love Squeenix and want to have their babies for making this film, and I will buy it when it comes out. (Though I'm not waiting for it to come out in my country, fuck no. I'll happily buy the american edition to show support and get my pretty film) Because, you know? Fucked if I'm waiting until January to see a film that is OUT ALREADY and that I've been waiting and hoping they'd make for nigh on 6 years.

So fuck you, holier-than-thou fanbrats. I've seen it, you haven't, haha. And yet we'll both be buying the DVD the day it comes out.
