This isn't Harmonian wank mostly. This is people-pretending-to-be-Harmonians wank. Other people are then outraged.

Pumpkinhead reveals that the blog, which purported to be the crazed musings of a Harmonian teenager, is really a prank by a college comedian. Lots of outrage in the comments, including the inevitable appeals to Hurricane Katrina.

phoenixwriter is outraged because she thinks Pumpkinhead tricked the fandom into thinking Harmonians were insane. Her thread on the subject devolves into an argument about whether there's a vast R/Hr conspiracy out there. Fandom Wank might be part of it.

Just as this is calming down, we get the sequel to this wank. Pumpkinhead was supposedly a pal of Snowy, who made the Ultimate Betrayal website and petition. Most FW members called troll on this and, as of today, there's an R/Hr icon on the site. Lots of wanking in the "signatures" of the petition.
