Werewolf! No Vampire! No Cat Boy!
Note: I replied to the OP's post but I didn't get involved with the following wank so I didn't feel like posting in i_wank. Feel free to correct me.

It seems Rip van Winkle attracts all the wank lately in the Hellsing fandom. First was that funny incident of people wangsting and leaving the fandom over the color of her shirt in the New brand OVA series and now her nature is discussed once more. Oh yeah, and her eyes, despite having blue eyes in the colored pages of the Manga. How could I forget that?


So in Hellsing: The Dawn. We discover Hans is a werewolf, not just a werwolf but a lycanthrope.

Soon after this, morethanadream brings up the topic of Rip van Winkle’s nature again.

It seems to be the general concensus, but I'm not sure I feel 100% that Rip is a vampire.
Her teeth are all wrong for a vampire - instead of two pointed incisors she has a whole mouthful of fangs, making her more of a 'werewolf' (using the term loosely, since Schrodinger is more of a cat than a wolf, but still uses the word).

Most replies go along explaining all the vampire characters have that set of teeth, the fact sunlight may affect her, blah, blah, blah.

Fun started when nightmarezero posted:

Furry insults are called upon in joke, snark spreads about his typing, mockeries and such. It ends (for now) with nightmarezero posting in mr_mitts journal the following:

well the thing is when i give poeple the info they want and most of the time its the truth they cant handle it even in a decent convo like we were having yesterday. personally i am not a furry but i think they are the coolest thing because they can take many forms. realistic ly they were out of line telling me to die and other nonesense because they cant handle the truth and are more ingrossed in it than i would have thought. i was not out to offend or hurt i was out to inform them on the ifo i knew. it never seases to amaze me how people can be so anal when you are just trying to be of some assistance. also i have read from vol 1 - vol6 of the manga so they have no reason to gripe at me so they themselves should go and reread the manga to fully appreaciate lord hiranos work but thats just me.
