She says, "If anyone wants to share any memories, or remembers any links to particularly good quotes from FW that they want to share, feel free. I can only speak for myself, but I know I'd love to see any bits of memories people had of her from FW, particularly since I never really saw any of her posts from there."

	I didn't even know until last week that she was ill, and I only found out last night how serious it was. I never got a chance to talk to her again. We hadn't spoken for months. No great drama, we just...got busy with other things, I guess. God. (Reply to this)

	I know. :( I really liked when she commented on metaquotes wank, and she always cracked me up with her comments during the wank on metaq. I saw her around, but didn't really know her. It's bad enough to hear of a death like this, but it's worse when it's someone with whom you shared a laugh. A fellow FW regular who was amused by the same fandom silliness as you were. To know someone through the FW threads is not a deep acquaintance but this loss goes to my heart. The contrast between her laughing comments here and the sudden silence of death is so stark. I'm a believing Catholic. The prayers for the dead come naturally to my lips. But that doesn't make it better at all. (Reply to this)(Thread)

It's odd to think that I'm an "old fen", since all I generally do is lurk and comment. Anyone who wasn't part of comics fandom during the heyday of CFAN and SubReality can't imagine how much everyone who was is hurting right now. Kielle and Laersyn were a real life fandom OTP, and to have one without the other is just...it's just wrong. I don't believe in being angry at God, and I believe that someday we'll all know why horrible things happen, but dammmit, that doesn't do shit now.
