"Splitter!"
Mini Monty Python LJ commwank- not so much in the open, batshit insane flamewar sense as in the self-aggrandizing posturing tl;dr sense.

[info]greedylilgit decides she doesn't like the Python community and is going to go off and start one of her own. The much-vaunted words 'true fans' (isn't that a codeword for 'people who think just like me'?) are tossed about.

Some low-key sarcasm flies between the OP and [info]confusedmonk_07.

Meanwhile, some posters think the whole thing is terribly anti-Python, especially with all the emphasis on OMG YOU CAN'T TALK ABOUT RANDOM SILLY THINGS.

Oh-ho. Meanwhile the OP carries on a bit in the first non-welcome post of her new Python community, Pythonism

I've heard that a few of you are worried that we are going to be 'too serious'- and I say bollocks. Advanced fanism does not exactly equal seriousness. As for the rules? The rules won't have to be enforced so long as everyone follows them! And they are pretty fair, and I won't be mean about them either (unless you give me a REALLY good reason to be). :) So yes- be as silly as you like, just stay within the guidelines is all I ask! :-D

The user info is equally verbose. Check out the 'What We Don't Allow' section.

And somehow all I can think is, "SPLITTER!"

EDIT: GODWIN'd!

A followup thread has a comment posted by robin1618:
You so speak the truth. 'Pythonism' seems a bit too Nazi to me.
