John Byrne vs. Wikipedia.
Some mice onwank_report directed me to this one. I'd never heard of comic book artist/writer John Byrne before, but any wank involving an author vs. the fandom is pure gold.
Apparently, Byrne wasn't happy with the Wikipedia article about him. So he edited it.
Pre-edit article.

History of all Byrne's edits.
As you can see, his edits involved deleting most of the text, including the fact that he is a Canadian. Outrage ensues.
You can read the The Wikipedia Talk Page for lengthy bickering over the edits.
Wikipedia bans Byrne for vandalism. Byrne complains about it to his fans over here. A Wikipedia admin shows up (near the bottom of Page 2.) Everything goes to hell in a handbasket.
