[info]brotherselric is a community dedicated to the brotherly, non-incestual relationship between Ed and Al. People post fanfics there, stuff like that -- just your run of the mill fan community, all things told.

[info]sky_dark posts an Ed x Roy fanfic with an invitation from the mod. [info]amurderofcrows DOES NOT APPROVE OF THE SLASH and is very vocal in her complaints. Includes a bit of "I've been in the fandom longer" squabblings, bitching about yaoi, and more!

It's a cute little bitty wank, but still quite amusing.

Actually, brotherselric is neither pro nor anti elricest. In point of fact, I'm pretty sure it was created because some 'cest shippers were worried that their more gen-oriented fics would not be welcome at the elricest comm.

So put that bias back in your pants. No one needs to see that.

I don't get Ed/Roy. I've been tooling around in the online fandom for some time now, and not one fic writes these two IC, as far as I can tell. Which, I can say, is all well and good and you write what you like, but dammit, people stop reccing them to me when I don't even recognise the characters!

I was disappointed in amurderofcrows's arguments, as it is pretty annoying when mods break their own rules just because they feel like it *is a mod who abides by her own rules*. She could have made a much less wanky case, and maybe lobbied for the comm rules to change so they don't suggest favoritism, rather than resorting to "My writing is better than yours!" "I've been in the fandom since Ed was in his dad's nutsac!" "Nuh uh!"

As a fma n00b, I just can't see Ed/Al. How does this pairing get intimate? Al has a metal suit of armor for goodness sake.

Eh, I don't. Though she was wanky and stupid about it, I do agree with amurderofcrows. Since, y'know, it seems to be a pairing-centric fic in a comm about elric brothers gen. So... huh.

Personally I hang out at elricest (the pairing you think you don't like at first... but then it drags you in o_o) and I wasn't familiar with this community... but now I don't really want to be. :p

*goes back to reading Ed/Al because... in all seriousness, it's frequently more IC than Ed/Roy*
