A Small Odd Sequel to that Last Harmonian Wank
[info]darynthe decides to show Fandom Wank who rules on the lj comm. hmsgetalife. Please, please stop it. She shows her complete unawareness of FW history by saying that 900 comments on the last Harmonian thread must be a record. Someone needs to tell her about Crystalwank.

Then she pastes in lyrics to a song called 'Get a Life' for the benefit of FW members.

All sorts of hilarity in the comments including "We are trying to get you to stop the hatred and bad natured stupidity of sites such as FW.", a parable about Buddhist monks, and an alleged quote from the late John Paul II: "Even stupidity is a gift of God, but you should know how to use it." which I judge to be about as authentic as Karl Marx yelling "CAPITALISM ROCKS!"

How freaking long was it before someone called out Panther on his "H/Hr are like slavery" post? It wasn't until it was wanked that he got called out and even after that, Harmonians were still defending that dumb ass quote.

Last time I checked, having a "life" included hobbies. One of my hobbies is laughing at morons who make asses out of themselves on the internet.

Maybe it's not the most constructive hobby to have, but it keeps me from climbing clock towers with high powered rifles and I think that's what's really important.

I hardly think that people who are obsessing over fictional characters not hooking up in a book that came out nearly 3 months ago, who are publicly insulting an author (including accusing her of not knowing her own characters, calling her a talentless bitch, and not seeing subtext she's supposedly written), who honestly believe that Jo Rowling took a jab at them in HBP by calling a hippogriff "Witherwings", and who are demanding a public apology from Jo Rowling, sending her hatemail and threatening to organize mass boycotts of her books, have any fucking business telling us to get a life just because we take a little time out of our day to mock and laugh at how utterly ridiculous this whole situation is.
