Geek Pissing Contest, Variation 3.14
Over at scans_daily, wal_lace makes a post in which Cyclops is ultra-awesome. As expected, people notice Scott's tighty-whities, Sabretooth's spelling skillz, and the fact that Professor X is randomly riding a Sentinel.

And, as could also be expected, an argument breaks out over who would beat who. It starts going downhill from there. In the meantime we get "Cyclops is more badass than Superman AND Batman" wank, "you won't argue with me anymore=I win!" wank, and of course, intentional misspellings wank.

All classic geekboy stuff, and mostly confined to wal_lace and lovesmasher. (For a special bonus prize, lovesmasher's icon causes epileptic seizures in 1 out of 5 lab rats.)

Am I mis-remembering, or is Cyclops the really boring one? o.O The tighty whiteys make me think 'yes'.

And the only thing that could defeat both Batman and Superman is Stan Lee with a flamethrower and a time machine. Which would sort of kick ass in an extremely nerdy way.

Ah, the old "who could beat who" battle. I'll say the same thing I always say in this situation:

"The person who will win will depend on whoever the writer wants to win. Ability, experience, or how hard the character might have kicked Supremely Powerful Character X's butt in the past will not matter. They will all change/be ignored under the new writer."

It just makes me laugh. As if the writer's are really sitting around with those ridiculous trading cards. "Oh! Psylocke has 2 speed points while Storm has 4! I must make it a point to have Storm run faster!" Really ... @_@

Ah, Ultimate X-Men; the source for ridiculous X-Men stories since, what? 2001? Mark Millar's over-the-top canned craziness nonewithstanding, how can you tell the difference between any of the characters? They all act the same. Ultimate Cyclops would give 616 Cyclops a heart-attack if they exchanged ten words.

It doesn't matter. Pete Wisdom could connive any of them, burn their asses, and saunter off with a fag in his mouth as they cursed his back.
