Screw you guys, I'm leaving the fandom!
Wankage is bound to happen when the journal in question is [info]avatarsues, a Sue of the Day journal for Avatar: The Last Airbender.

[info]avatarsues posts a script format Sue and the author, Ember90, shows up. She comments to EVERYONE who has made a comment on the journal entry, but it's always the same:

*Takes deep breathes* I happen to have heard of your "site" and I (Who is not a school grade fan girl and who happens to have seen all the episodes 3xs, has a website for momo and apparently is disliked because of some story I wrote just for the heck of it!) am very displeased. Yes, its me Amber-Ember90 I wanted to write something awful or mean to you, but I know words won't solve anything action will! And I will say that your site is kind of cool, I even liked it, except when I read this, you made me feel awful! So good-bye Avatar! Good-bye my story! I hate AVATAR, now I hate it! Congrats you lost an Avatar fan... tootles!

Some of the commenters respond in confusion and others just ignore her, until her sockpuppet friend shows up with this lovely message:

OFF. i happen to absolutely love Avatar, just sadly havent seen every single one of the episodes because i dont have cable. i also am a Sokka fangirl because i like his funny lines. Amber is my BEST friend, along with Colleen. i am warning you, you better back off and back off real quick. if you get joy out of making people miserable, then i suggest that you get off of the crack real fast. so go jump in the river.

It only gets better when Ember90 retreats back to The Pit and posts her Swan Song. Edit: The Swan Song has been deleted.

Perhaps the definition has been rather corrupted, but I don't really see what's terribly mockable about someone blatently self-inserting in a fic.

Most of the fic they posted wasn't even about the show itself, just a dialogue between two girls. Sure it's not exactly the best writing, but attempting to mock it just seems a little.. redundant. Like making fun of a kids show for being simplistic.

How to insult someone, the 1997 edition:

Step 1. Accuse anyone who is doing anything strange or not to your liking as "on crack." "You're smoking crack" and "crackhead" are also acceptable. Repeat liberally.
Step 2. Follow this with a generic insult. "You're whack" or "your mom" are excellent choices for the more street-savvy insulter. If you are not comfortable with these, "get bent" or other insults of that ilk may be more up to your speed.

Due to the crazy breeding of Trolls, flamers, and sockpuppets, I've decided to turn the anonymous comments off until further notice.

Hmmm. If a couple of anonymous commenters riding on the whaaaambulance with their internet threats is considered that awful in the community, maybe avatarsues should think about flocking the place. Because, seriously, that was incredibly tame compared to some sockpuppetfests I've seen in Sue communities. Besides, if you're going to dish it, shouldn't you be prepared to take it, too?
