oh no! not *defriending!*

OK i don't know much about the fandom Without A Trace and this came to me from friends of friends so bear with me.

Seems like there's a new girl in town on the show that is threatening the Sacred Slash Pairing of WaT and many slash fans feel she must be punished for existing and being hot/annoying/etc.  Thus we have the lovely community of die_elena_die  filled with such compassionate thoughts such as

The many ways in which whorebitch should die:</em>

1. her pimp discovers her missing and when he come to report it, sees her, and pimp slaps her so had she dies. Alternative ending: he pimp slaps her hard, and then she draws her FBI gun on him, and he kills her by hitting her on the head with his pimp cane.

2. One of her old stripper buddies (from before she became a full on whore) goes missing and she must go undercover to get the suspect. She dies in a horrible pole dancing or lap dancing accident.

3. She only makes three dollars and a gum wrapper for her pimp dues, so he sells her to an underground slave trader who uses her as a dart board after no one will buy her (they wouldn't even take her in a two fo one deal!).

4. She is walking down the street, and she sees a hot dog stand, so she buys a foot long, and most unfortunately when she is eating it (and trying to impress some dude) she chokes and dies.

5. She and Danny go undercover as flamanco dancers involved in a drug ring. Danny must kill her to proove his loyalty, but he doesn't get his chance as she, thinking the castanetes (sp) were cookies, attempts to eat one and chokes and dies.

6. She invades Martin's space while their on a roof, he steps back and turns to get away, but she takes too big a step and falls ker-splat 60 floors!

7. She is on the FBI elevator when it stops, and she freaks out, so she's sitting there and some hackers are in the pricess of cutting the wire of the elevator and shutting off its breaks so they can create a distraction. She is unhappy and pouty and ugly in small box. No one likes her enough even to answer her alarm ringing. The elevator falls 15 floors.

8. She and new tech guy are on a date, and they go to some roof party, there is a fire in teh building and they must jump off. Her gigantic ugliness so repels the ground that it refuses to let her fall, and so she rockets out into space and sufocates. New tech guy dies too, but in the ker-splat way.

9. Some witness is so pissed off by her whoreyness that he calls out a hit on her, and no one investigates the "crime."

10. Missing Persons is taken over by the show Survivor, and she is voted out, but instead of estinguishing your torch the new thing is they sacrifice you to the god of CBS, Jerry Bruckhiemer, and her totally not virgin blood is used to christen a new show called, "People like Elena should die" where people like her are called into casting meetings and people vote on whether or not they should die.

11. A pirate chops off her head after he finds out she's too loose a woman for a pirate.

12. Two words: Ninja death.

Some people in the fandom think a disturbing number of fans are going a bit off the deep end.  The idea of misogyny is mentioned among other things.  nekosmuse is on her flist, happens to be one of these haters, and flips out at the misogynist label.  she immediately informs tanzy she's been defriended and demands tanzy defriend her in turn.  Then nekosmuse posts a public entry to her own journal where she's all upset and naming names so that everyone can share in her hurt feelings.</p>
