On Today's Wanker's Kingdom: the Self-Important Gamer Male
A very late continuation from here and here (the icon was inspired by this one). In summary, Green Ronin puts out Blue Rose. Nisarg hates the setting and says so. Repeatedly.

GR creates a system forum, and later announces the release of the setting-free version of the rules, True 20 (currently only available in PDF form). Nisarg eventually migrates over there, once the mods on the Blue Rose forum make it clear he is on the path to banniation on all GR forums.

So, time passes. Today Nisarg returns, with the following post.


Short Summary: The True20 forum now has a higher post count than the Blue Rose forum

Longer summary: Green Ronin owes me a copy of True20 Print once it comes out, and the Blue Rose Swine were wrong, and I was right, as usual.

Considering a good number of True20 regulars also post at the Blue Rose forum, this went over about as well as a xenon balloon.

Oh, I totally grant you, it doesn't take very much smarts to see the immense potential of True20. If not me, it could have been anyone else.

Skywalker, let me clear it up: I did not mean to imply that everyone who posts or has ever posted to the Blue Rose fora are swine. I was referring to some specific people who had tried at every turn to reject the concept of True20 being a viable system outside of blue rose, and had a generally pompous attitude matched with a thickheaded admiration for the socio-fascism that aldis' pseudo-utopia would imply.

I'm glad Green Ronin eventually saw the light and are now doing good work moving forward with the True20 project.

But originally, and technically right up to one week before they released the True20 pdf their policy was that True20 was just for Blue Rose and was not even under consideration for independent release.

The True20 boards, also a great success, were not put up until I vociferously advocated the idea.

Green Ronin, in other words, was sitting on a gold mine and were too busy writing stories about magic deers to notice. I'm glad now they've seen the light, but a thank you would have been nice.
