Nightwish is a semi-popular Finnish band that sounds metal and has a female lead singer named Tarja Turunen. Their big song was Nemo.
Well, had a female lead anyway.
I mentioned these events to a friend of mine, and she (brave soul) went to the forums and told me about all this over AIM. I'm just bringing you the good bits.
The big thread itself starts here. But I have highlights like elitism, threats of suicide, excessive freaking to fuck out in a public forum, backlash, etc.

I have only one thing to say about this Nightwish also means Tarja wether you want to accept it or not it has been this way for 9 years, for 9 years I live for them for 9 years I cry for them and laugh with them I liked their concert in 2004 in Bucharest I cried after the one in 2005 cause I knew i will not see them for at least a year and now this cry.gif so this is what I wanted to say if in a week I am not cantacted by at least one member of the BAND i will jump of the Polivalenta Hall I mean it and I don't give a f**k about life without Nightwish and I don't give a f**k about anyone who comments about my post. I don't want to live in a world without Nightwish the way it is, the way it was... So a week is long enough you will probably hear about me on the news but I think its a sacrfice worth having NW fans don't cry or weep or sigh you still have a path before you, sadly mine will probably end in a week at least i will die happy. Maybe they will contact me or maybe they wont but still this will be my only and last post i will ever make. 1 week and counting. Guys, I am very, very sad as well, and I was 75% destroyed when I first saw that. I wish everything became like before...But I still hope NW will remain a great band even in a new formula. [link]
