Gaia Kills Santa, Parent Flips Out
A wee little wank, but something we haven't had in a while.

Gaia Online is a forum site with avatars you can dress up. It's rated PG-13. It hosts events (special occasions when users can gain special items for their avatars)every so often, especially around the holidays.

Gaia had a Halloween event that...didn't go over very well. So the admins updated the storyline, with Santa Clause accusing Jack (the Halloween spokesman) of encouraging people to be Greedy and Elitist. (As well as having a pants fetish, and not being able to count.) Jack shows up, punches Santa, and (supposedly) kills him.

Or at least leaves him really, really close to death.

A parent objects. People tell him to chill out.

So he posts it again, in a different forum.

Exactly. I've got two of my younger kids in tears because they thing Gaia admins always tell the truth...and now, thanks to the admins, they think that Jack killed Santa.

Wow, aren't you a great parent, letting kids who are still young enough to believe in Santa on the internet! Also, great job making sure your kids can differ fantasy from reality!

Gaia had a story line? I was too busy trying to make my avatar into a stripper, got to 2,000 gold and just quit.

Thank you people SO much for convincing my youngest two kids that Santa is dead and that Jack'll kill them, too,

He/she should have taught his/her kids to not believe everything they see on the internet.

And that there is no Santa.

My mom admitted to me that there was no Santa when I was, like, seven or eight. It was after about the twentieth time I ran to her after my brother told me so. She seriously said exactly this: "No, there isn't. But don't tell your sister."

The next day at school, I told my best friend. She blames me for shattering her childhood. =D

The pants and counting comments were references to glitches when the whole Trick or Treating event got off the ground. I was hanging around the Questions and Feedback forum when the event started and everyone was flipping the fuck out over it. It was awesome.

Anyway, I thought the Jack/Santa childhood friendship thing was cracktastic. It was a nice break from the endless "GINO AND FRIENDS DRAMA HOUR" that the Gaia story line has become. </ wank>

The instant someone on Gaia told me about this storyline, I knew something wanky would come of it. I feel so vindicated that it's parental guidelines/censorship and broken childhood wank.

Okay, that parent's comment didn't make sense the first two times I read it. Think it will make more sense if I try for a third time? No? Yeah... It's a PG-13 website. Most of the people I know who are on it are in college (seeing them play is the only reason I know what the hell it is to begin with). If you don't want your kids exposed to PG-13 material, don't let them on a PG-13 website. Durrrrrrr! I also love how this person re-posted in another part of the forum.
