Caina: JKR's husband isn't REALLY sick! She's just hiding from us! Caina says JKR is pretending her husband's sick so as to avoid Harmonians. Here. I don't know why this should floor me - after all Caina's adventures - but it does. Maybe because it's getting into the insane obsession with personal lives territory? ETA. Caina comments on her tagboard, utterly underestimating FW, me thinks. Caina: Some prick spammed the poll. 347 votes in so little time? I think not. How utterly pathetic. I'm tempted to remove the "her husband really was ill" option to be spiteful, but I won't. Okay, I am aware that there are some people here from the STFU who have been talking and engaging us in some entertaining and civil discussion, but your fellows seem to be incapable of this. They forget that this is MY domain, this is MY place to say what I wish to say. They don't need to come onto my tag-board to "put me to task" for what I desire to say on my own website, and frankly, I'm sick of it. You don't see me joining the STFU or going there to post comments about what they say, do you? I don't post there, they need to stop posting here. I don't give a damn if they don't like the poll, this is getting tiresome. I realize some of you enjoy the conversations here, but if your fellow STFU members don't stay the hell off this tag-board, I'm just going to remove it, period, and you will have them to thank for robbing you of a place where you can come and have civilized discussion with people of other opinions. If you are from the STFU, and you have been civil in posting here, and you enjoy coming here and discussing opposing viewpoints with people of different opinions (I'm sure you do, it's been going fairly well), then you need to say something to them about coming here and leaving rude and inflammatory remarks on my tag-board. Really, or it will be gone by tonight. And if you're wondering. Tig</b:>Ladie A: As for the poll, I choose "I think her husband is really ill" because for some reason, I like giving people the benefit of the doubt. I sincerely hope that it was a case of illness and not fear of seeing any crazy person or being booed off. But whatever, its happened and if she was being paranoid than I find that pretty lame. Does she think she would be able to hide forever? I think not. So I think everyone just needs to let this one go and give her the benefit of the doubt. Honestly. Yeah...and I've noticed it's been getting the most votes as well. Go figure. lol. Lee: Her husband was just released from hospital a short time prior to the premiere. He had his appendix removed. Frankly said, I think that it shows that JKR cares about her husband a lot that she stays with him at home and helps him while he still has pain from his operation scar. Oh, it was also in various newspapers, and you can find the information on the internet as well. For example: http://feeds.unitedkingdomnews.net/ Caina: Ladie-A: I think what most people are forgetting is that if I wasn't willing to give her the benefit of the doubt then I wouldn't have included the option about her husband being really ill. I could very easily have left that out, but I didn't. Unfortunately those fools are unable to understand/see that. If he really is sick (which I hadn't seen how ill he was, I'd just heard she stayed home because he was sick, but not the nature of his illness), which he turned out to be, then she should stay home. At the time that poll was created, I didn't have more detail, and I thought it was fishy that not only has she been avoiding certain issues and not updating her site with post HBP news (except that eBay cop-out), that she was avoiding public appearances because she didn't want to encounter flak and/or angry fans. Also noted I put the option that she was losing interest in the films. She's written the book (GoF), she may not feel like going to another premiere, it could have been a lot of things (which I put in there). This poll simply did not deserve the insane reaction that it got, for God's sake. The issue with eBay (and YES it's a cop-out) is that parent's are responsible for keeping their children from their credit cards. If a child is dishonest enough to steal their parents' credit cards, then, I'm sorry. I don't feel sorry for that child getting a fake off of eBay. They deserve it if they're going to do something as awful as robbing their own parents. As to parents buying for their children, yes, THEY are the ones who need to authenticate, not eBay. With all the merchanise on that site, you cannot possibly expect eBay to act as the responsible parents of a child. That's ridiculous. As to JK addressing fandom issues, this is something that's gotten big enough that it NEEDS to be addressed. |
