Over at shannon_boone, a Lost community for Shannon/Boone shippers (can we call them that?), vandonovan posts a request to put spoilers from the most recent episode under a cut. An anonymous decides that s/h/it shouldn't have to care and that CAPSLOCK OF RAGE is in order. The rest of the community responds, with one participant calling the mouse "xenophobic." Wank.

I've been wondering when we'd get some LOST wank here. I mean, it's Saturday, people! The last LOST episode aired on Wednesday!

I probably should consider joining that community; the LOST fic I'm dabbling at now includes a bit of Shannon/Boone.

But ugh, that 'mouse is an ass. I hate the philosophy that if you don't want to be spoiled, you should avoid the internet all together. lost_tv had something of that nature recently. 'Cause it's not like people go to LOST communities for anything other than spoilers. Theories? Discussions? Catching the little details? Finding out what Walt said backwards? Pinpointing the exact moment that the one person got snatched away by The Others? I don't know what you're talking about.

Sorry. I'll clean up my mess. (For the record, lost_tv does have rules about cutting for spoilers.)

Oh, and little 'mousie? There are people who tivo episodes or download it from lost_eps. Not everyone sees it on its first airing, and there are people in other countries. Ugh.

On the one hand, I really hate it when people do that.

On the other, when I go to see Goblet of Fire, I am really tempted to talk loudly with my friends about how sad Cedric Diggory's death will be and wonder if they'll try to make the effect for it more than just a green flash.

All this going on about people from other countries is very considerate, I'm sure - but are they planning on cutting the spoilers for a full year? It's likely to be almost that long before the episode airs in the UK, for example.

This, of course, is why I download episodes. Because the chances of going a year without someone telling me who died on Lost, or who killed Lilly Kane on Veronica Mars are practically zero.
