Come on guys, the movie isn't even out yet....
Over on the livejournal community Harmony_Podcast miscard posts a fairly non-wanky review of Goblet of Fire. (warning, big movie spoilers, obviously) However, OH NOES! They have not included several scenes that WB released promo pictures of.
It seems that WB used! gasp! the Harmony fans by putting out H/Hr promo shots! redangelteflon says:

I hate the way they use H/Hr moments to lure us in but In the end it's not in the movie at ALL!
I feel like ive been lied to, thos false advertisements are DELIBERATELY Misleading!

I mean, they dont have to do that, I would have still seen the movie regardless but it's like they are toying with us taunting us with something that doesnt exist

It was quite unnecessary to do that since the Movie is heavuly hyped anyway, people were going to see it regardless
Plus I also feel like the Hermione degeneration is starting already.

I'm not entirely sure how you "downgrade" a character... but damnit! WB is doing it!
rainbowstrlght and ladie_a take a more optimistic view of things, because clearly WB was putting out the pictures to lure H/Hr-ers into the movie.

Then everybody's favorite Harmonian charms in, with a far less favorable view of the dasterdly deeds WB is purpotrating.

Real piece of crap! Like word wouldn't get out that those scenes aren't in the movie. Of course they wanted us to watch the movie! They don't want empty movie theatres in the same meassure in which Scholastic is collecting copies of HBP that were left in the bookstores!
I refuse to be used by anything related to HP. This just means I won't go watch the movie... I may watch a pirated version or something that won't involve WB getting any of my money for being fooled with those H/Hr pictures!
As if it wasn't bad enough what we had to endure with HBP!
and then: Well, all they seem to understand is cash! And of course they don't give a damn about who they have to trick into watching their film, as long as they pay for it!
And I won't let myself be tricked! I can buy a pair of shoes on sale, with the money I may spend if I go watch that movie! Plain as that!
I liked the GoF book too, but that was back then when HP was a nice thing and I wasn't delusional and being used by big movie industries to watch their films... is really sad, but is how it is for me.
I can't say that I don't want to support HP because, post-HBP it stands up for everything that I'm up against, and then go watch their movie so they make more money. I won't. They tried to get my money by tricking me and they lost.
Shock! Horror! They are stealing money from the pockets of innocent harmonians! Money that could have instead been used to help the homeless, or save starving children, or...
Gilly_Halliwell: The movie ticket isn't so expensive, but then you go and get yourself some popcorn and a drink with it... or/and go have dinner afterwards or something... and, at the end of the day, money you could have gotten shoes with!

Honestly, it is a deception after another. WTF. Why? WHY?? ò.o
Because, really, first HBP, then Teh Interview, and after that tsunami, came one of the best phases of our ship, at least for me, the pos-HBP/pre-GoF time, I mean. Because HBP, instead of make us weak, fighting everytime [and I mean, with rude words and rude ways, and I'm talking about the majority, I know that some of us did it, anyway] just to make the others understand why we ship hhr, making us give up our ship, HBP made us stronger, more united, letting us with no limits. We’ve been judged, fingers were pointed in an accusatory way to us, called millitants, delusionals, "anvil-sized" hints, "brother-sister"/"non-canon, lalalalalala" evidences where rubbed in our faces, just for having a different way of reading the books than others, for believing that, behind a worderful and harmonious friendship, some fantastic relationship could be built. And still, we didn’t gave a danm about it! On the contrary, we had a good laugh with somethings that they said XD. The hhr-communities never been more actives, more and more pretty icons were done and (if you look in the right places) wonderful and well-written post-HBP or not, were written. For me, this momment [the pre-GoF one] was the best to us, with beautiful and squeeworthy pictures and vídeos. Now this... tsc tsc, asking for a little tranquillity and stability was too much, wasn’t it? Really, I think that some people [coughheronscoughhgshipperscough] are doing some kind of witchcraft [yehehehehe XDXD] for us... because, serious, what mortal sin we committed for defending what we thought that it’s right? ¬¬ cruel world, cruel people...
But it doesn’t matter, anyway, because doesn’t exist in all the World, in the HP Universe, or whatever, one fandom more friendly, welcoming, intelligent, creative and better than ours. Admit it, we rock!!! \o/ And, honestly, we never been more fanciable [;)].
I’m still looking forward for GoF, not with with the same intensity then before, but... MySweet!Harry/Hot!Dan worth it, Pretty!Emma/Our!Hermione worth it, H/Hr worth it. =)
jimmyrrpage agrees that teh eval WB is trying to oppress Harmony. Also, that clearly GoF will never be popular unless the one true chemistry between Dan and Emma is allowed to shine.
Think about it, y'all. First, we ship H/Hr, and we're proud. We honestly do have more evdience than any other ship in the HP Universe. Then Half-Baked Plot comes out, and the author herself makes fun of us for our beliefs. Suddenly, we get something to make us feel so good. These incredible H/Hr pics. And what do we find out? They're duds.
These pics had started a very, very profound rumor in my area that the movies may in fact go H/Hr for selling purposes (since probably the biggest draw to the movies is Dan's and Emma's chemistry on screen [and off screen, apparently]). Facts and pics started to come out that may have proven this rumor to indeed be a fact. I'm going to have to put all the believers out of their misery today, and it won't be fun.
It's a continuing pattern... more ways to jip Harmonians, that's all. It's sad, really, the depths people will sink to to make us look bad. The WB are just as Mo'Ronic as others, I guess...
Having seen the movie myself, I can attest that most of what is said in the original review is true. Expect more wank once the thing, you know, actually opens for the public, but for now the Harmonies seem to be getting a headstart. Always the overachievers, I suppose.
ETA: The post is, I am told, now friendslocked. *emo tear* Don't y'all just feel horrible about yourselves? Personally, I shall be off sitting in my room with the lights out listening to Death Cab and thinking about what I've done.
