You know...I seriously do not get icon wank.

I make icons myself. I confess to enjoying it and taking some pride in my work. But in the end, they are just icons. I don't understand how people can get upset about them. I actually saw someone have an absolute fit in their LJ because someone dared to ask how her plain icons didn't class as bases.

As for the wank itself - not to side with the anon but really, you can't stop people saying they don't like them. Shrug and move on.

If they didn't want anons, disable that feature when posting. Not very difficult. If they didn't want any negative replies, they should have posted to their own LJ to a supportive filter.

The icons aren't great art, but they're not lousy, either. I mean, everyone's entitled to their opinion (blah blah like assholes blah blah everyone has them blah). Some of them are even cute.

Anon was obviously trying to start some shit and just as obviously succeeded. The replies weren't frozen a moment too soon, though I doubt that will end it.

I'll own up- yes, this is something of my fault. I posted it in i_wank in hopes of getting the pain over with quickly but... Oh well. I honestly didn't expect this to get as big as it did. A little wank, a little tea, some crackers- it's all good. I think I made a total of four comments in this wank but I did make a comment about FW and that was a lame move on my part. I was enjoying poking at someone who was just coming in to start a fight. Any ways... wow... I guess I underestimated one of my own fandom's flair for wanking.

Holy shit, I'm late in replying, but damn. Those icons are fugly as hell and no, they're not really that funny. It's like a /b/tard fest in 100x100 pixels. However, mouse loses for a)not having the balls to sign a name and b)shitting what smells like grudgewank in someone else's backyard.
