ironically the shirt was very supportive

unfortunately, the folks at Threadless.com are not so much. Threadless is a weird little fandom in its own right; i don't think i've could have ever conceived of trendy tshirt design as a fandom before it came about, but plagiarism is a great universal, isn't it?

It's that age old story.  Girl meets Threadless.  Girl reuses old joke to make shirt.  Shirt meets community.  People get wanky.

Small but amusing (to me anyway O_o)

Hah. I just heard about this fandom at Thanksgiving dinner the other day. Brilliant.

Cute tees. I love the "real men hunt deer with swords" one. I just may have to cave in and buy it.

This could be made way better if the OP came back and started going ZOMGLEAVINGNOWGOODBYEKTHX.

And you have a Savage Garden icon!

i'm starting to notice that this "hey you copied that!" is a favourite passtime at Threadless, i almost feel like i should have made my entry a collection of the accusations i've seen just tonight! LOL

Yes i do and i made it myself! ^_^

well, at the very least the OP did break out the caps-lock:

Damn, you beat me to it.

And no, we really don't. Enlighten us.

(On a completely unrelated note, FictionAlley Park banned all the misspellings of plagiarism they could think of. I've never seen a herd of newbie writers more confused. "What? Why is this banned? MODS!!!!")

All the wank has been wiped from my mind by the fact that, while browsing the front page I found put that one of t-shirt makers is someone I know. He used to go to my school (then transferred). He was a couple of grades below me. Very cool kid, but…wow. That’s a little freaky *sings it’s a small internets*

Seems to be a company where they encourage users to submit tshirt designs. These get voted on by other users and the top voted are chosen to be printed in small lots by the company. Verrry interesting concept.

Meh...the wanked tshirt in question; the design TOTALLY UNDERWHELMS ME. Not to mention that lame-ass "joke" - christ, at least rip off something witty.

The concept of Threadless is quite intriguing, though.

Ditto. It's not bad, I'd probably complimented someone wearing it just because the joke is cute and I'm a whore for funny shirts, but it's not that great.

Umm...I own three Threadless shirts and I want more. I think there's crack imbedded in the t-shirts they print on. I really want to make a Harry Potter one and see if it gets printed, but I have absolutely no artistic talent whatsoever.

people who accuse others of plagiarism and don't know how to spell it crack me up. Don't try to use words you can't spell, or since you're online anyway, try dictionary.com so you don't look like a tard.

I'm in love. Or at least strong like.

You should have least put your own spin out. We are people who eat sleep and breathe design. Can't put one over on us. Wow that was my first mean post.

Mean? Is this person from Sesame Street or something?

So is "O RLY?" the new "Bitch, please" or what? I'm usually up on these things, having no life, but I must have missed where this one first sprouted up.

One day, there will be a plagiarism wank wherein every single participant spells "plagiarism" correctly, and the world will promptly come to an end.

I love Threadless. I own three Threadless shirts and buy other Threadless shirts for gifts. I want to submit stuff. (Was almost an illustration major.)

But MY GAWD I never realized there was a fandom.

Dude, this happens on one out of ten shirts submitted to Threadless.

Like this one (http://www.threadless.com/submission/60212/Stay_in_Shape.).

The moral of the story: never assume that your ability to plagiarize is greater than the combined google-fu of your audience.

'plajerism'? Look, if you can't spell the issue in question – and/or are too lazy to look it up – I really don't think you should get to comment on it.
