Joystiq announces a new site, pspfanboy, and in response to someone asking why there isn't a dsfanboy site, Christopher7xii makes the comment "No, because males don't like the DS. Just women and fairies." All hell breaks loose, and even nazis are mentioned.

Another reason why I try not read the comments at Joystiq...

Slightly offtopic, but I agree with what Exbzerg said (comment #7). Yeah, I was getting sick of all the XBox 360 posts leading up to the launch, and niche/specialized blogs have their place, but it's also nice to have gaming news for all consoles in one convenient place... a la Joystiq =P

Since when does playing a certain gaming system makes you inferior??

I don't get that anymore as I used to, since I grown up.

Like from my two brothers for instance, who once had all the NES/SNES/Genesis/PSone(R.I.P.)/N64/Dreamcast/Gamecube and now an Xbox before I got seriously into gaming and got a Gameboy Advance SP and a PS2.

I love my DS, I have no negative feelings towards the PSP. I just know they seem to sell a lot yet most of my customers have no clue what it even does. I think they're apples and oranges in terms of comparison. (PSP is more of a all in one type of machine that can do a little of everything, but not anything really WELL. While the DS seems to focus on games but just that and not trying to break any boundaries.)

Somebody simultaneously building up the PSP and tearing down the DS as a rehash/port machine may be the funniest thing I've read all day. I honestly look forward to the day the PSP library justifies me dropping the cash for one (I spend a lot of downtime at work playing handheld games), but its diverse and original library isn't exactly a strongpoint yet.

I currently have a Super Nintendo, N64, Gamecube, PS2, XBox, and DS. The DS, by far, gets the most play by virtue of having the most games that don't feel exactly like games I've already played a zillion times (Meteos, Kirby, Trauma Center, Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!, Phoenix Wright, Lost in Blue, etc...) The PS2 comes second due to stuff like Katamari Damacy and Shadow of the Colossus. But then, I have boobies, so what do I know?

(I know everyone with a DS needs to import Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! ASAP, actually. Male cheerleaders lead cheers to combat/defeat everything from homework to diarrhea.)

Last time I checked I was still female and I don't like any of the handheld systems. I might me tempted to buy a handheld system if they ever got games like KOTOR, Jade Empire or even Fable. But alas Bioware's current project is a new RPG for the 360 which means Microsoft got all my money last week on launch day. Being a Bioware fangirl has its limitations.
