Only Emerson can call readers delusional!
Over at Adultfanfiction.net BrokenSouledPoetess posts a (oh so original) Inuyasha/YuYuHakusho fic with an alt-pairing couple and makes Inuyasha more of a jerk for the couple to work.

Mizzy takes offense, and leaves a note saying why and that she won't read anymore.

I thought you had a really good story going here but the last two chapters have had too much gratuitous Inuyasha bashing for my tastes. By doing so you had to portray both Inuyasha and Kagome out of character. I think you are a good writer but I know when a story contains too much bashing and too much OOC, I quit reading it. There are probably others who do also.

Annoyed responds back with possibly the best come back ever.

Your tastes DO NOT reflect upon everyone's. She should tell you to kiss the brown off her ass rim. You ASSCLOWN!!

Those two are off and begin the age old arguement: How old IS Inuyasha anyway? The Poetess puts up an authors note in her story (which was tragically lost) claiming that those who DON'T think Inuyasha is 200 are delusional. [info]dqbunny replies, advising that she shouldn't call her readers names and that his age could be either 200 or 16-ish, depending on your canon. Naturally, The Poetess deletes the review and [info]dqbunny calls her on it and also posts a small rant on fanficrants about her.

The Poetess responds with this author's note, naming [info]dqbunny as the only person who's doing this and that she is ZOMG MEANIE!!! Firuze Khanume, one of the mods on AFF jumps in and tells The Poetess to get over it, and we get a typical "NO! I just won't post anymore!" All seems to cool down, except for one ijit in DQBunny's reviews.

Then, Angelica Pierce shows up and defends [info]dqbunny but manages to create some splooge herself. She even includes a mention of Sueric and Inugrrl and the much needed "YOU! Out of my fandom!" However, she loses most of her brownie points when she pulls the elitist!card.

All of her fics are gone, all of the reviews are gone (saved 'em though!). We do not yet know whether or not the site admins got sick of her, or if she did the deleting herself, but Yurapayne has apparently decided that it's all dqbunny's fault. And her notice spurs lovely reviews that enlighten us with some fun facts to know and tell!

[info]dqbunny could be friends with Satan.
(Aren't we all?)

[info]dqbunny is a moronic 15 year old.
(Clarification: she's 25)

[info]dqbunny has less stories posted on AFF than The Poetess, she's not a good author.
(Because clearly if the fic isn't on AFF, it isn't 'quality')

Someone has started leaving reviews in dqbunny's stories again, and I'm popping popcorn!

Edit: (Damn, all ready?!) Kiwichan responded to the authors note about [info]dqbunny and Yurapayne has decreed that it is still all dqbunny's fault.

Edit the second: The authors note has been removed, but I saved everything. :) Links changed to go to the cached version.

Yet another edit: BrokenSouledPoetess has reposted her stories after her fans begged her to. That whole 12 hours without people kissing her ass in public must have been hard.

What the fuckity fuck?! So, instead of live and let live, as the mature ones have put it, we have yet another person defending the virtue of The Poetess and also Kagehoshi no one seems to have any idea who the hell she is. Annoyed has posted not one, not two, but ten make that 13 15 18 notes to the mods at AFF calling for the spearing of those who go against the not-so BNFs on the site, even after The Poetess pulled down several inflamatory reviews to, ya know...stop this.

And deleted. That was an interesting half-hour. The note is saved here.

An anon reviewer has come up with the next best thing since batshit.
Oh. MY GOD. You've post this in like ******20******* fandoms!!! You're beyond batshit, yo. You're like... RHINOshit! STOP with the postings you whackjob!

OMG someone has written fanfiction with out of character porn! It's the END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT!

Seriously, people should just get over the fact that there is bad porn.

From the "review" of djbunny's story: So fucking what if the characters are too OOC? I've run across plenty of fics that I didn't like, but I didn't flame them so hard that I made them LEAVE the fandom. Because of you and "your friends in high places," a budding ARTIST has left the field because of a juvenile bout of jealousy.

Clearly, what we need RIGHT THIS MINUTE is a mandatory fandom sensitivity training program. It's not badfic, it's quality challenged.

Yes, as a matter of fact I DO own this incredibly dysfunctional, immature, and overall horribly written fandom!

Okay, so the comment about 'friends in high places' was lame. I actually felt retarded while writing that part myself. I did have reasons for it at the time, but now I see the err of my methods. : feels shame : I should have just come to F_W!!

However, I can't bring myself to regret even that portion... Watching the reactions of the fan poodle populace is frankly too damned entertaining.

Much love to you Saralina for posting.

No seriously now, geez. I love how authors would sometimes use just anything to get attention. "OMG, [info]dqbunny is liek, so being mean to me! OMG, I'm going to quit. So make a fuss and liek, show your lurve for me by bitch slapping her and showering me with attention. Beg me to write again because I am the supreme writer in the world and I need to steal Inuyasha fandom back from Angelica Pierce."

Ahhhh, one fo the reasons why I'm glad I never got too into the IY fandom ship.

Oh lordy lordy, I'll never review again!

Pft, I'm of the opinion that authors like Broken see things like this as a chance to attention whore and will get more hits to their fanfics. Personally, when authors like that leave it makes everyone else better off. Granted they're never gone for very long. Gotta keep stroking that ego you know.

The only truly surprising thing about this wank is how very, very bad BroSouPoe's fics are. How did she get to be a BNF when she has such poor control of literary technique that she has to set off flashbacks with ***Flashback*** and ***Flashback Ends*** tags?

Also, may I have Yurapayne's reviewers' leashes now that Yurapayne is gone? Sure, they're wanky as hell, but they're mostly able to spell, use standard grammar, and write more than a sentence and a half at a time. I could wreak a lot of ripe, creamy chaos do a lot of good with my own horde of literate reviewers.

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at some of the people replying to her reposted stories. Grammar Gorilla is apparently an English teacher who doesn't know what a comma splice is. As far as I know it, "have" is supposed to have only has one "h". I hate it when people feel the need to announce that they're an English student or a professor. Or any major for that matter. It's like they think they have authority over the subject.

I mentioned this in response to an earlier thread in the wank, but it's worth pulling out on its own.

I actually haven't done anything in a week regarding what happened on AFF. I posted up my initial review to the story, which was mainly pointing out that the author was being rude to her readers and explained that other people did think differently on the matter and pointed out the canon evidence supporting the second theory. I urged her to be more respectful about folks who had different points of view.

The second review I did was the same as the first, just a bit longer and more to the point (I think that's the review they posted above). I didn't mind that the author deleted the first review, but she kept up a clarification I had made that really made things stick out like a sore thumb, technically going, "HI! I deleted you because I didn't like what you had to say!"

I felt like the matter was closed and didn't comment any further on it. This sort of thing just blew up on its own. Someone reported the reviews, the AFF mods contacted me and told me what happened but that they felt I had given a legitimate constructive review and urged me not to respond to any of this. I completely agreed with them and haven't. The frenzy those people have worked themselves into is of their own doing. I've been off doing other stuff, such as working, writing stories, etc., because I feel I closed the matter on 11/23 - and still feel that way. After all, even us moronic 1525-year-olds affiliated with Satan have to work to pay the bills. ^_~ I haven't asked any of my friends to go bug this author on my behalf, or rounded up massive armies of kitties fangirls to go chasing after her.

So, yeah, it's been an interesting week just to see this thing explode. I'm not even mad and I've really never been mad over this situation other than when the author was making it obvious that she was censoring constructive reviews that she didn't like. I'm more highly amused than anything else and it has been fun reading this wank.
