David Letterman is a bad, bad man.
I suppose this falls into the Fannish Absurdities category, rather than strictly being wank. I posted earlier on [info]fandom_lounge, but now that there's more information, I figured I'd post it here.

Further to my earlier post about David Letterman's mental harrassment of a Nevada woman and her restraining order, The Smoking Gun has posted a bunch of transcripts of her statement, indicating the sort of mental abuse that David Letterman subjected her to through code-words and "jestures" on his show.

Not only that, but David Letterman isn't the only one involved! Other villains include Regis Philbin and Kathy Lee Gifford. Fortunately, Kelsey Grammer is there to rescue her from the horrid David.

They are available here.

David Letterman is not the only one involved!

"...David Letterman as the root cause to my bankruptcy but it also involves Regis Philbin, Kathy Lee Gifford, and Kelsey Grammer."

David leads her on:

"Dave responded to my thoughts of love, and, on his show, in code words & obvious indications through jestures and eye expressions, he asked me to come east. He even mentioned in Showtime conversation "Nevada" before I had achance to get a letter off letting him know that, infact, I did live in Nevada."

Kelsey Grammer warns her away!

"Turned out, Kelsey did everything in his power to dissuade me from marrying Dave. While Regis supported the alliance. With Kelsey, entire Frasier plots were "dedicated" to communicating the futility of such an alliance, with his primary argument: "you have nothing in common with each other.""

She dumps Dave for a more worthy man:

"By 1998 my desperation for a friend was evident, for Dave never once "was there" for me..and that is when I turned my attentionto Kelsey. I began writing him, in the fall of 1999."
