My favourite on again, off again wanker, ataniell93, has written the essay, On HP fandom and the Cult of Mean.
." Seems she took some offense to [info]theregoesmygun's poll inspired by [info]onlyinfatuated, and after telling off her friendslist and demanding apologies, she's decided to take a stand against the horrors of HP fandom.

She writes the "commandments" of the HP Cult of Mean, while adding her own thoughts on how wrong or misguided those "commandments" are. Most of the comments agree, because really, who's going to post to an essay about "mean girls" and disagree, thus branding themself horribly and irreparably. It's hit [info]daily_snitch, however, so we'll see where it goes.

I like how the whole thing is f_w's fault. What, does f_w force people to become assholes now?

And saying Malfoy fans are an oppressed minority group is a neat trick, I think. Because the argument seems to follow that if you disagree with them, or say they're acting like insane fuckheads, you're naturally oppressing them because you're part of the majority!

Also, two things on the essay. You can't make up a list of what you say those meanies are saying and expect anyone to believe you. Sources, people. If she made up the 'cult of mean' commandments, it's her baby, and no one else's. Also, I notice that all of the examples are anti- H/Hr. What about:
