VSD, isn't that some sort of STD?
CC wrote The Very Secret Diaries (LotR), and thus started a trend that continues on across fandoms- and now into the political realm. Cygnusfap wrote a VSD for Dubya, and now the entry weighs in at over 250 comments.

A little piece of evil- in the form of "The Very Secret Diary of George W. Bush". The wank is in the commentary, naturally. Just look for the pro-Bush people who don't understand humor, and there you shall find plenty of wank. Not exactly fandom, but based on fandom material. Close enough for me?

(I happen to like the president, but this is a very funny VSD. Also, I wish I could write an entry that got seven bloody pages worth of commentary.)

At last, proof that Cassie Claire (in league with Simon Branford) DOES secretly orchestrate and control the world as we know it!

Is there anything in the world that she doesn't have a hand in? Cassie rules HP Fanfiction, does she have to try and rule the world too? RL and URL (Unreal life), that's getting a bit greedy.

I looooove cassieclaire, I now love you too. *joins the marauding throng of fangirls on your doorstep*

That one is also good. Sadly though, read up to page 6 and not enough wank, just massive fangirl praise.

As for the piece itself, it's okay but somewhat cliched in terms of Bush humor already.

I dunno, I thought this alone:

"Someone said that we could invade because Saddam's a racist dictator who allows no civil liberties or freedom of speech, but John Ashcroft glared at him."

was worth the price of admission.

Tony still being the prettiest, wibbling Colon, and wibbling Dick made the whole thing work for me. Oh, and Bush still not being king, of course.
But the quote you listed was probably the best. *is still snickering over that one*

*still likes Bush, even if he's not king*

I thought it was stupid. Not because I'm pro-Bush, but because the Very Secret Diaries are stupid. *shrug*

Personally, I think the whole war thing has gone beyond the point of parody. Future historians will write tomes entitled 'What the fuck? What the fucking fuck?' when trying to make sense of it. They will fail, of course.

Mind you, I also felt that way about LOTR (the book) so maybe I'm just journalistically challenged?

Have you seen our friend Ian McDuff's VSD of Saddam Hussein? If not, read it!
