A bit of GAFF mini-wank over Tristan & Isolde
Doe starts a thread in Godawful Movies wondering whether Tristian and Isolde is going to suck, based purely on the music used during the preview.

Some people have better reactions than others, such as Mvctar Avrelivs's fit over replacing Wagner with Evanescence. Raven and Writing Desk gets historically philosophical by asking whether angsty pseudo-goth is better than anti-Semetic, long dead composers.

But that's not the real wank.

Anais idly relates a tale of high schoolers who had the gall not to be familiar with Romeo and Juliet.

Then the wank ensues.
Everyone's favorite Miss Kitten defends the rights of the unlettered masses. Must be really nice to be so smart that you understand many wonderful literary references, but don't you think that's fairly condescending given that you don't know everything about everything?

...Or do you?

OR DOES SHE?! DUHN DUHN DUNNNN! Well maybe she doesn't, but it's Tabari for the save! Don't be deliberately plebeian, it doesn't suit you and is more artificial than even you usually are. Oh snap!

'Plebian' is so not hot.

Tripathy gives an assist to the plebians! This is later nullified by an illegal use of a Canadian. But not before washu-hime chips in her (unasked for) two cents.

It just Goes on.

And on.

Ad nauseum

Until Doe tries to wrench the thread back on topic. It's slowed down for now.
