Domlijah 2: American Idol Bugaloo
In honor of the new season of American Idol. This is a wank that I’ve been observing for quite some time, but at this point, it’s just gotten too funny to not share.

This past May on American Idol, the eventual winner Carrie Underwood got very emotional when fellow contestant Anthony Fedorov was voted off, crying and mouthing the words, “I love you.” Apparently, this angered Anthony’s girlfriend, Irina, and she quickly posted a tearful breakup letter on his fan club website, which she had helped run. The board broke out in a ginormous flamewar, with some fans yelling at Anthony for being a cheater and some yelling at Irina for putting her and Anthony’s bidness all over the internet.

It all culminated in one of the mods of his fansite posting a ranty goodbye post in which she called Anthony a “cheating, lying asshole” and altered her sig so that it would say the following in every post.

If a boy like Anthony Fedorov can have his trach hole penetrated by a lunging penis, why can't he win American Idol?

---Anthony Fedorov--- The real miracle isn't his voice...it's how such a large object can fit in such a tiny place.
When the dust settled, a lot of people decided that they really liked the idea of Carrie and Anthony as a couple and they started a thread on Idolforums to ship "Canthony" and make sparkly blends and badly photoshopped pics. That’s when the real crazy people showed up. Bringing conspiracy theories, PR expertise, magically talking jewelry, fake magazines, and flamewars.

Cheley28 is a very important "PR expert" who is “BFF” with popstars, Lance Bass, Justin Timberlake, Constantine Maroulis, O-Town, and Justin Timberlake's Wang who made her first appearance posting a summary of an interview with Carrie on the official American Idol boards. Her interview summary made the rounds to other boards where people pointed out that the summary was fake. Undaunted, Cheley28 got more ambitious and posted a whole magazine article from a magazine that doesn't exist. Ivc calls her out. They bicker, Cheley28 claims ivc is persecuting her and says that she’s taking all her marbles and going home.

Instead, she moves on to the Canthony shippers at IDF, who are less discriminating. She becomes something of a BNF in this fandom by writing a “steamy” RPF about Canthony. The shippers compose a list of "EVIDENCE" for Canthony, a large part of which is Cheley28’s stuff. Amazingly, Cheley28 sees Canthony where no one else does. She has a million Canthony stories and Canthony sightings from “friends " and the "radio". Carrie and Anthony keep denying any romantic relationship, and some shippers begin to have doubts. But Cheley28 keeps the “faith” alive with her extensive PR Expertise. It’s a Conspiracy! Just like Britney and Justin! Plus jewelry that sends SEKRIT MESSAGES! And Harry Potter Flamewars!

Eventually the Canthony thread, which has been locked several times for off-topic spam, gets moved to an off topic forum for good. Cheley28 disappears. Or does she?

Undaunted, a bunch of Canthony shippers move on to their very own board. AMLisdabomb and Fallenxstar8487 soon appear and gain a following of their own by posting a pornographic Canthony fic on the board. In late September, the shippers start to get antsy because there hasn’t been any news in a while and AMLisdaBomb and Fallenxstar8487 announce that they have Insider Info that Carrie and Anthony are a couple.

I can't say why because there are jobs that are potentially on the line. Just know that Canthony is there and it's alive and kicking. You'll know soon enough biggrin.gif

In fact, AMLisdabomb has like, a million Insider Sources.

So, I know for a fact that Jess [Sierra, an American Idol finalist] dislikes Carrie. (Don't ask how I do, I just have sources. She stated to fans she thought Anthony was gay, but before you go to burn her house down read the rest) Jess has a huge crush on Anthony. (who wouldn't?) Anthony obviously has no interest in her. And to be honest, he outclasses her. Carrie let it slip a few times, cause what's a crush? No biggie. But apparently Jess tried to put the moves on Ant and he was oblivious to them. Carrie got pissed off. During the tour they were having lunch in hotel lobby restaurant and were over heard arguing. Carrie, who is usually quiet and very sweet, had her voice raised. And it was obvious they were talking about Anthony. His name was mentioned over and over again. Basically, Carrie was telling Jess to step off Anthony and that she would NEVER have a chance with him. Thus implying that they are together, or were very very very close to dating. So, I know how Jess is. She got all jealous and started telling people Anthony was gay, because he wouldn't give her the time of day.

And what goes along with Insider Sources? Conspiracy Theories! AMLisdabomb busts one out involving an injury to Anthony’s ankle, which a bunch of Canthony shippers start joining in on. For 27 pages, they talk about the conspiracy. Highlights:

Well, they posted yesterday that he broke his ankle. How do we know he didn't break it before. I know Steven spent time at his house LAST Friday. Perhaps he broke his ankle before and they are just putting that stuff up. It takes time to put up video, even for Denis. So, I highly doubt the filmed that this afternoon.

right, so I am thinking he broke his ankle last week or perhaps even earlier. They are now leaking it to us. I think because a lot of Canthony talk has been going on they may have been just confirming some things and are now letting us in on Anthony's whereabouts. I do not think he is in PA right now.

Evil 19E is trying to suppress the Canthony! ZOMG!

They are legally covering themselves. They almost got in big trouble a while back legally with 19. They can't have it leak before they want it to.

Considering certain people (since I heard we don't like to name names apparently) are very hostile towards me, I have decided to stay away from this thread...I would like to take this time to say, I never brought anyone down from their Canthony high. Late October rolls around and amazingly, there is still no news. But there are more conspiracy theories once photos of Anthony Fedorov taken during a taping of Fear Factor are posted online.

Yeah I could tell that maybe this girl wasn't playing with a full deck of cards. I've gotten several weird Canthony related PM's about Friday night but this one took the cake. Seriously, what did she think went on in the dressing room? And did Anthony look mad or upset in any of the pictures and stuff? I didn't think he did

Honestly though, I have got bombared with odd PM's ever since last Friday, even some saying, "How dare Anthony's fans show up at Tatiana's and ruin his night when we all should've known Carrie was supposed to be there." This kind of rubbed me the wrong way, because honestly Anthony specifically told us that he was so happy we were there with him and supported him enough to show up at a random nightclub performance. But sadly the PM's have gotten weirder and weirder

comments and PMS for that matter accusing fans of supporting anthony at tatianas and possibly scaring carrie away.. is a load of crap!!... carrie first of all would be hidden if she were there... and secondly why would fans scare her away i THINK she would be thrilled to see Anthony get support even at the oddest locations such as a club... so NO ... carrie was probably not scared away she just couldn't attend as she was busy promoting..... argh I hate comments that bash any fans of either Carrie and Anthony as we are supposed to love them both in harmony!!!!!!![/I]

I'm putting this out there cause I am really pissed off. We have NEVER put down Anthony or Carrie at this site. For people to come on here and say that we do, is total shit. We have been here for 6 freakin months hoping these two are together. Who is to say that we think of one person more than the other. Or this person is just something to the other. This is total bullshit, and I really dont think that we have done anything to disrespect Carrie or Anthony for that matter.

I would think being a publicist though, that you wouldn't be concerned so much about an unofficial fansite like this one. I'm sure your efforts are more concentrated on the media.

Finally, all the drama starts to clue the shippers in that there might be something wrong with all these Insider Sources.

The insanity comes to a head when Carrie takes her new boyfriend, a college student named Chad to an awards show. Chad posts photos of himself and Carrieon his facebook. Some people refuse to believe that Carrie is dating Chad and not Anthony, going so far to claim that the pictures must be photoshopped. AMLisdabomb shows up with more Insider Info, only this time, it’s info that Carrie is dating Chad.

I honestly don't care if some of you don't believe us and whatnot. I know what I heard and I trust my sources. Now, keep in mind that things DO change and this might just be one of them. I still can't say what it was (again, we are talking about someone's job here), but I really don't care if people out there want to call us out on "lying" or what have you. We were not trying to be all high and mighty because we had some "exclusive" Canthony news. But I'm guessing that when you're trying to give some sort of hope to people, you're always going to have the nay-sayers that try to "call you out" on a supposed lie. Well, it wasn't a lie, and you can definitely bet that a lot of us are going to think twice before EVER posting a bit of news on here again.

NONE of that information was exaggerated. Rather, it was the people who found the leak on my board and bought it over here that turned it into some kind of a circus. I never once went into details. And yes, something WAS in the works...it may still be…But I am done defending myself in that matter, since all of you are still going to be bringing this up six months from now. All I know is that certain people, including myself, are going to be very hesitant in the future about sharing any more information on here. I'm not going to "suck it up" and say that my source was dishonest or mistaken. There was official documentation (that I have seen myself) stating that something was in the works. Like I said before, NONE of you are on authority to say that the Canthony event was in the works or might still be.

A new poster named PinkFusion18 takes exception to what Fallenxstar8487 and AMLisdabomb are saying and posts ominously about “other boards hearing about this” and Fallenxstar and PinkFusion18 wank about this a bit. Finally, PinkFusion18 says that AMLisdabomb’s source was Cheley28 and AMLisdabomb leaves. Again.

They seemed to know alot back in Sept and Oct that turned out to be the opposite of what they said they knew and predicted. Its understandable that people would be skeptical now and quite frankly, they are big girls and should understand that.

I know it really pissed me off (and still does) when people said Anthony was gay or there was no way in hell Carrie would ever date him. I know it pissed you all off. You didn't need to post this. Certain people out there were blatantly begging for an explanation that really wasn't owed to them, but they got it. I really do hope that it puts the naysayers in their place, but knowing most of them, they'll still continue to think that they are cool because they can put down people with legitimate sources. And just for the record guys, I saw the memo as well...I know it's been said before, but there are still people out there trying to negate something they haven't even seen to begin with.

I'm not even referring to a large group of people. It's a specific group of individuals who have become somewhat repeat offenders with the whole Chad issue. And of course, anyone who so much as tries to reason with them are automatically grouped into the whole "immature/bad/liars group". Honestly guys, it's getting old. And yes, we know that a group of you come on here as invisible and read fan fiction (even though a certain someone in particular has come out publicly saying that they stopped reading our stuff a LONG time ago), our posts (specifically the one titled *Sigh* that I made a while ago), and talk about us (you think we don't know? Come on, try not to make yourselves so obvious). And I've even noticed certain people trying to knock-off the *Sigh* post I made. Seriously guys, get some originality. If you need some sort of reassurance for your board, try to do it in another way.
