Maybe someone forgot to tell him it was a dancing competition?
If you've been watching ABC's "Dancing With The Stars", you will be familiar with the drams of better couples getting voted off while Master P plods his way through every week. From the controversy of him not putting in as many hours as the other stars (20 for him a week, compared to 100+ a week for most of the others), to his flat out refusal to wear proper dance shoes instead of sneakers named after him, to his shamelessly plugging his album this last show as the judges tore him a new one.....

Most of the fans on the ABC BB for the show are disgusted that he keeps getting voted through by the fans every week....and Master P's fans hit right back with accusations of people being "playa hatas" and the judges are racist.

People pray for his removal....
People come back defending him (Some go as far in a few threads to call him a "good sport")
Calls are made for a change in the voting system....and maybe the judges....
Then there are others who I am pretty sure are just trying to rile people up calling for the fans to vote FOR Master P.....

I've only seen one episode and I already know that he's ridiculous. There are people supporting him? Well, obviously, somebody has to be voting for him.

I haven't been watching this season (no tv at school...) but I was so upset last time when John WAS ROBBED!

Sounds like the same idiotic voting is going on this time, too.

I'm almost positive that guy keeps getting voted back because people think seeing him do so horribly every week is funny. He's like the William Hung of Dancing.

I feel sorry for his dance instructor. She's dancing her ass off and he can barely do a two-step half the time.

I actually watched this once, but my friend is a dance freak so I had little choice. It was pretty entertaining, actually. I'm surprised that Master P is still on there. He obviously doesn't want to be there, or at least that's the impression I got. He got dragged into it when his son got injured, I think it was.

I admit it. I support Master P. But the whole reason why is because the show is already boring, too long, and just bad. Master P, at least, is entertaining. Who cares who the best dancing star is? I want to be entertained, darnit.

But then again, I can't be blamed for him still being there. It's much too much effort to vote. Kinda like it's too much effort to spend 100+ hours dancing.

I was thinking about posting this, actually, but you beat me to it. ;)

I am so freaking glad he got booted off, personally. He was entertaining at first, but he got so bad it ceased to be entertaining. I also didn't appreciate his "The judges are OMG, so mean" attitude, nor his refusal to wear a proper hat and shoes. That ballcap he wore the first three shows was Tacky with a capital T. I'm glad to see he finally wore a proper hat this week- not that it helped his dance. I know he kinda got shoved in the show at the last minute, but he didn't seem to be putting any effort into it, and he very obviously did not want to be there.

Getting booted off because he's a bad dancer =/= racism. He SUCKED. No two bones about it. He got 8 out of 30 points this week. That says something about his ability or lack thereof. He barely moved; compare him to the other dancers and he's standing still.

Oh fuck I seem to have made a mess *runs off to find a mop*

I only know about this show from the Soup - I'll have to see if they make any witty commentary on it tonight.

Apart from that, I am not touching this show with a million foot pole.

(For example, in the Aussie version, they had PAULINE HANSON. AAAAAAAAGGHH.)

People are supporting him because, well, he's Black (Jerry Rice is Black also) and he's from New Orleans and wanted to show that people from the ghetto (someplace he hasn't seen in a good long time) can do what he is doing. Maybe some because he was brave enough to step in for his son, Romeo.

All I can say was he sucked from the beginning and he was very embarrassing to me. Hell, I'm Black and didn't vote for him. HE SUCKED RANCID DONKEY BALLS DAMMIT!!! I couldn't even watch him he was so bad. I voted for Jessica Simpson's soon-to-be-ex-brother-in-law.
