Jem and the Holograms cartoon wank
The Yahoo Group mailing list Truly Outragous Jem has a semi-wank going on. While the list can be somewhat divided between Jem supporters and Misfit supporters, there is one Jem supporter in particular, Sarah, who won't have one single negative thought uttered against the herione of the show, Jem/Jerrica Benton without biting back in her passive-aggressive tones.

A debate was recently started about Jem's mental health, and Sarah replies with this:

"Remember this isn't disney; she-ra; or my little pony. If you want to
watch a cartoon where everyone is everyone's else's buddy watch them.
Jem makes mistakes but hey she's only human but to you two that's not
good enough. If she's not the type of a character you two can't or
refuse to accept well that's tough. But hey thats just my opinion. To
me Jem may go dumb pink blonde but she's not that bad. But hey that's
how I see her which makes me wonder; am I alone in this arguement? Do
other Jem fans feel Jem has to be portrayed in a certain way or she
won't be accepted because of how she deals with the misfits?"

It appears that Sarah is basically saying that we must not ever question Jem's sanity or criticise her in any other way, shape or for because she is not happy-fluffy like She-Ra or My Little Pony and we need to just accept her for what she is.

I'll be keeping an eye on this to see if it gets any wankier. Knowing the TOJ list, it possibly will.
