Every Fandom has a Wank.
Well, I don't think the Grey's Anatomy Fandom has been wanked yet, but after what happened last week it was bound to get really really wanky. Basically we have the dubious "heroine", Meredith sleeping with the designated(but IMO too good looking to really be the..)"dork", George after he told her he loved her. Fans of the main couple Meredith and Derek((annoyingling termed Mer/Der.) were in a state of rage. We'll forget that Derek is too balless to leave his cheating wife for "Mer". Anyways the wank of the (Grey's Anatomy)Century was bound to errupt.

I don't know what is wankier, the writers feeling the need to explain themselves or the over the top responses. You'd think the characters got together to murder Derek(Patrick Dempsey).

I'm sure there has to be people here that would find this of some interest. Maybe even add some other Grey's wank? Because even though I like the show, the "Mer/Der"(seriously they call them that) fans are just wanktastic IMO.

I've only been watching this show for three weeks, and every week it's like a maniacally laughing child is kicking me repeatedly in the shin and yanking out every one of my teeth slowly and painfully. And yet I keep watching. It's like watching a hobo get the shit kicked out of him. You don't want to watch, yet you can't tear your eyes away.

But having read this, I thought the writer had some fairly intelligent things to say about Meredith's character and the choices she made in the last episode. When I first watched it on Sunday I actually groaned at the end, but now I can see the error of my ways. Mostly I'm glad I don't give a shit who's banging who in the show.

Also, Mer/Der is HIGHlarious!

You know, it really bothers me in the comments section when someone refers to one of the female's on the show as a whore. Meridith's hardly sleeping around (2 people?), and the term is innacurate unless McDreamy or George or whoever is actually paying her. Which, y'know, they're not.

Why is any woman who happens to have slept with more than one person in her life automatically a whore? 0.o

Just how wrong is it for me to keep insisting on reading Grey as Gray, and think the wank to be something along the lines of "No, the pelvis doesn't go there!"

Hey, since it just happened last week, I'd say it'd be the courteous thing to put in a small cut for spoilers. I imagine the ep has yet to air other places besides the U.S., and a week is such a short time that there may be other viewers catching up.

I'm a big fan of anything to do with Patrick Dempsey Derrek/Meredith (I refuse to use that unsavory ship name, ew), and I wasn't upset at all by the George/Meredith thing. In fact I gave a happy squeal. Little did I know this made me some sort of weirdo who isn't a true fan, blah blah blah!

See, I kind of like it when characters suffer. This is going to be a good lesson in "it's not wise to sleep with your friends when you're an emotional cripple." If the writers are smart, they are going to show the repercussions of Mere's actions, and yeah - George is probably going to get his heart broken. But hey - that's what happens in life. If the writers are writing somewhat close to human nature, well shoot - that's life. Bad stuff happens. I want my characters to suffer! SUUUUUUUUUUFFER!!! It's just so much fun (this is why I loved "The Sparrow" when many people think it's a horribly depressing book. Much love for people going through the spiritual wringer.)

Of course - they could make it so they all live happily ever after, and then I would have to kill them.

And jeebus - she's not a whore. She may be using sex in the wrong way and that will totally come back to kick her in the cooter, but I wouldn't call sleeping with two guys a whoreish activity.

'Specially since there's no money on the dresser. Duh.
