Harmonians Unclear on the Concept
March 21st is Harmony Day in Australia, a day to promote interethnic and interracial cooperation and fellow feeling.

This is mentioned on Portkey:

OMG!!! We harmonians get our own holiday? ...Racism? What's that?

There's a vague tip of the hat or two to the actual concept of the holiday, but it's quickly drowned in "OMG I don't have anything orange!" and similar idiocies.

As a resident of Canberra (Australia's capital city), I've had to drive past a floral display in the city centre, that pronounces 'HARMONY' in orange flowers every morning for the past few months. In spite of the intentions of whomever authorised it to be put up, I admit to wincing every time I see it.

I never thought that the batshit insane might actually take it as serious support of their pairing preferences...

Oh, this is all sorts of perfect! Remember, Harmonians are the victims of racism, so it's only right that they should want to celebrate a day devoted to the fight for racial equality. If the whole world would just celebrate Harmony Day, maybe JKR would start caring about black people again, and the WB would finally let Dan and Emma get their freak on.

And it's about time that the Australian aborigines got their due recognition. The way they were abused, isolated, and massacred throughout Australian history is just like the way the rest of the HP fandom treats Harmonians. The institution of American slavery should not have a monopoly on analogies to Harmonian oppression!
