My first time reporting wank. Apologies if I did anything wrong.
Over at GAFF, I_Lam_Edhellen posts an LOTR fanfic by caffinebunny. But instead of the normal snarking that is going on, she explains about the author doing her own brand of snarking.
A reviewer by the name of I.H.N posts a long review to the story. Rabid author immediately strikes back with this author note:
-1The real chapter 9! I put the wrong title on the last chapter, but I just changed it. Now, I don’t know who’s noticed it, but one of my reviewers has posted an essay in a review. And it’s pretty patronising stuff. My rebuttal/comments/down-right rudeness about are on my LJ, as the person who posted it didn’t even leave an e-mail address to reply to. It’s not really a flame. It seems more like the person who wrote it chickened out of putting anything harsher… (Egads, I hope whoever it is reads this!).
She then invites people over to her journal to witness her rebuttal of the 'essay'.
Meanwhile, over at GAFF, member are falling over the wonder that is I.H.N's concrit amongst other things. There are also random calls of 'must not phantom link' and random comments that goes on and on.
Over on the author's LJ, GAFF members like blackpearl500 and other anonymice gather at her first LJ entry.
While I.H.N follows up with another review, GAFF members decided to jump on the bandwagon with their own comments. And then finally, the author was phantom linked... twice.
At GAFF, members are rejoicing and waiting anxiously for the author to show up and calls of racist and troll abound while caffinebunny decides to post yet another LJ post snarking I.H.N's second review. More smackdown happening in the author's own journal about how I.H.N's feet should be kissed... repeatedly.
The author goes on about not caring and then makes yet another post on this same issue.
Something tells me this will go on forever.
ETA: GAFF has found us out... OH NOES!!! Once again, we have been called immature, unable to recognise sarcasm and the OP was wrong!! Wrong!!! We didn't take it to the author's review board.Oh, and the 'racist' comment was properly explained.
Last but not least, we are nothing but 'rolleyes'.
