Okay, first of all. How is Ed and Al hugging automatically yaoi? Siblings hug. It doesn't necessarily mean they're banging. Sometimes a hug is just a hug. I know that I, for one, am not banging every single person I hug, and this goes double for family members that I hug.

Secondly... even if it WAS intended to be viewed as slashy, why do people feel the need to say, "Good job, but I hate ___?" So you don't like yaoi. Good for you. Nobody cares. And yeah, I understand that sometimes what the commenter is going for is something more along the lines of, "I don't normally like ___, but this was so good I was able to stomach something I don't usually care for," but nine times out of ten, it doesn't come out that way.

God, I *hate* it when people scream "I WAS JUST JOKING GUYZ, LOL!!!" If have to say it, it usually means one of two things:

1.) The joke fell flat. It happens. Just drop it and move on. Saying you were joking over and over again isn't going to make someone go "Now I get it! HAHAHA YOU'RE HILARIOUS!"

2.) You actually DIDN'T mean it as a joke and are desperately back-peddling. No one is going to be fooled, and it just makes you look stupid(er). Stop it.

PS - I don't even know who the characters are, but that picture is adorable.

Elricest is my main OTP. I nearly breathe it. Still, the yaoi? It is not there. That pic looks like what I do to my sister, and hell, I think Al is sweeter than I am.

There's something about people that compels them to tell you they don't like what you like. There's expressing your opinion and there's missing your cue to STFU. I'm especially confused by the people who go 'zomg I read this fic and I find it good even if I think the Elricest is gross' or 'I'm totally ignoring Al in your fic so it makes it bearable to read!!!' So, wait, are you trying to torture yourself with my writing or something? Thank you, what a great compliment! You know what, go read my DenxEd fic. Nothing you say about that will make unhappy, I promise.
