Well, this is actually the first I've heard of this.

But, if it is true... Dudes! Lost kills lots of people and is overpopulated to boot. It won't kill the show to lose either. Unfortunate, maybe but no real reason to call the producers 'cowards.' They weathered the worst of the media storm about the DUI's.

Sometimes stories work out, sometimes they don't. And the whole Ana situation has been a bit iffy (as far as working). I'm neither thrilled nor bummed if this is true. I sort of shrug it off. If it happens, it happens. If not, eh. I don't think the producers are lying cowardly bastards either way.

I.... actually heard rumors about that particular character a month or two ago. And I'm not a super-sekrit insider or anything. Apparently there are stories flying about that the actress is 'difficult'. Not to mention (as much as I love LOST? and I DO) the writing has really sucked this season and they simply haven't done very much interesting with the character.

but HEY! does that mean I get to be considered an INSIDER too? huh huh can I huh? please. it seems pretty obvious the chemistry isn't there - not just ship chemisty (cos I NEVER saw Sayid/Shannon chemistry) but she just doesn't seem to be jelling with the ensemble. MVHO, of course. YMMV.

I don't get it. Who are these ohsoseeeekrit sources? And who, exactly, cares that yet another character gets bumped off of Lost? Haven't these people heard of the 'flashback scene', :P.

From a writing standpoint, it would make perfect sense to kill her off because she's not that main a character. She brought angst and a bit of bitchiness, but so far she hasn't brought anything else. From what I saw of the last character to die, Shannon, she was pretty much the same.

I kind of cheered when Shannon got the shot, actually. Man, her whining/incestous fuckedupness really got on my nerves in a rerun of Six Feet Under kind of way...In fact, I vote they bring Shannon back to life just so they can kill her again.

Erm...I'm straying way off the post. Maybe that's because there's nothing to say here? *eeps*

	I don't get why this is suprsekritomg information. The morning DJs on the radio this morning were talking about Michelle and Cynthia leaving the show - I just assumed it had been announced publicly. And on Lost, the logical way to get rid of a character when the actor leaves the show is to kill them off. (Reply to this)(Thread)

Getting rid of Ana-Lucia because of Ms. Rodriguez's criminal charges seems much more likely to me than getting rid of her because she's unpopular with fans. The constant "Yeah, they're going to kill her off" rumors ring false to me because they remind me of all those "Jin will be the first to die!" rumors during Season 1 when he was despised because he appeared to be an abusive husband. What so many of the rabid Ana-Haters don't grasp is that she was supposed to be unlikeable. I'd argue that a large chunk of the fandom would embrace her if she was cute like Kate or a hot "bad boy" like Sawyer, but then I would have to wipe up after myself. *grabs tissue*

Also, when Ana-Lucia's unpopularity was mentioned to Matthew Fox in an interview, he said that she would be sticking around and that their characters would be closely tied together in future storylines. So yeah, I'm hopeful.

	Meh. I've thought for a while now that the last 4 eps of s2 would be dedicated to a Lostaways/Others war & tonight's clip show seems designed to reinforce that impression. I wouldn't be at all surprised by any of them dying. Fortunately this isn't one of those shows I watch coz of fangirling only one actor - my love for the show will survive, I think. (Reply to this)

The behind the scenes crap on the Lost set makes the cast of Desperate Housewives look like a giant merry Tupperware party. EVERYONE THERE is miserable, from what I hear. The new people haven't meshed with the S1 people and some of the S1 people are still sensitive/ prickly about the Maggie/Ian firing. And hell, my sources aren't even all that "insidery." They're like. Interns who have overheard screaming matches. That's how open it is. It isn't a big industry secret. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure MR is a real handful and she's an irresponsible ass for the repeat DUI offenses, but as I said upstream, this is apparently the FOURTH person in the span of ONE YEAR that the producers are firing for being "difficult," so I'm calling bullshit.
