You know what our problem is? Falling standards.
Did you know that LJ users are expected to maintain strict standards of fannish decorum at all time? At least, that's what selenitatis seems to think. When rageprufrockposts on her private journal about the most recent episode of House, selenitatustakes offense at the post's frivolous tone:
While it's hard to object to pure joyous fangirling, I can't help but be truly shocked and frankly a bit disappointed to hear "there's probably another plot and stuff" out of you. I've respected you greatly in the past and was hoping that I would find some of the depth desperately lacking elsewhere here. Not only did I not, but you seem to be validating the shallowness that other, lesser writers are flaunting.
Remember, kids: Your LJ is a valuable public service. And medically-shoddy-yet-highly-entertaining doctor shows are, as always, Serious Business.
