You know what our problem is? Falling standards.
Did you know that LJ users are expected to maintain strict standards of fannish decorum at all time? At least, that's what [info]selenitatis seems to think. When [info]rageprufrock posts on her private journal about the most recent episode of House, [info]selenitatus takes offense at the post's frivolous tone:

While it's hard to object to pure joyous fangirling, I can't help but be truly shocked and frankly a bit disappointed to hear "there's probably another plot and stuff" out of you. I've respected you greatly in the past and was hoping that I would find some of the depth desperately lacking elsewhere here. Not only did I not, but you seem to be validating the shallowness that other, lesser writers are flaunting.

Remember, kids: Your LJ is a valuable public service. And medically-shoddy-yet-highly-entertaining doctor shows are, as always, Serious Business.
