JK Rowling is a thieving whore!
Over at imdb, robobeatnik posts a claim that JK Rowling stole their idea for a boy wizard.

Ok first of all, I just want to say that I am not a crazy person. I am being truthful.
Quotes provided under the cut, for those without imdb accounts.

Let me tell you something: Harry Potter was an idea I had back in the summer of 1997. I thought of writing a book about a small boy who attends wizard school. His name was Davenport Steele.
Riiiiiiiiiiight....uh, what year did you just say?

I have been bitter for many years. Because I never actually wrote any of my ideas down, I do not have a suitable court case against that thieving whore ROWLING.
Dang, you just need to get yourself an INTERNET LAWYER!!!

SPOILER ALERT! as we get to peek at what happens in Book 8:
In book 8, Harry will join forces with some secret wizard whom he finds out about by a special locket that Dumbledore willed to him. The locket requires a great deal of passwords and magic to unlock, but once it is unlocked, the locket will provide a portal to these four wizard knights. They will join Harry, Ron and Hermione in looking for Voldemort and stopping him.

He then asks the imdb comm for their support against THE THIEVING WHORE!!!
And the response?
A chorus of "O rly" type comments, along with the inconvenient fact that the first book came out in 1997, and JKR had the idea for the books in 1992.

spazzysas: Mind reading authors are everywhere. on time I had this idea for book that teaches people to cook. I was to call it the 'Cook book'.
But about 3 years ago, As I was to copyright the idea, I heard many people had taken my idea. See, there are maaannnnnnyyy mind reading authors out there....
know ill continue the story of how that jrr frauldlin stole the idea for LOTR from me when the doctors let me out for my next 5 min break

robobeatnik responds predictably:
Listen you jerks.
When I said that I had the idea for book 8, I meant MY book 8 and that MY book 8 will become HER book 7. That's what I meant when I said MY book 8.

Clear. As. Mud.

Yes, I said that I had the idea in 1997, but what I meant was that I had the IDEA to have it published in 1997. I had been working on it in my mind since 1990.
Ahhhhhh, riiiiiiiiight...

say this because after she started to get some money and people started to read her books, I sent her a strongly worded letter to cease and desist in which I explained all my ideas for my book series. Not only did she never write me back, but several years later my ideas MAGICALLY appeared in her books. DOES THAT SOUND LIKE SOMETHING A PERSON WOULD IMAGINE??????
...pause to adjust tinfoil hat...

ROWLING has more money than the Queen of London, do you KNOW that?
Well, you learn something new every day!

So....Rowling and her sat down to lunch one day and discussed possible plot-lines, and Rowling pinched her idea?

Or Rowling crawled into her head one night and pulled out her brain?

I must be projecting ideas left and right, since I have all this great stuff in my head, then books pop up with the same storylines. Either that, or hundreds of authors are hitting me with T3H M1NDR34D1NG while I sleep and leeching all their good material from me. Either way, I'm owed money. I think I'll start calling myself a Professional Muse, and charge inspiration royalties.

At least that Nancy Stouffer lady had actually published something. This is like me claiming I had the idea for, lets say, Lost back in 2001, and JJ Abrams stole it from me! No, I've never met JJ Abrams or discussed my ideas with him, but he still stole it from me. It doesn't matter that I never wrote them down. I deserve compensation, damnit.

I like Rowling's names better than his:
Hogwarts = Brenezzio Bulgacky
Dumbledore = Farnigan J Barnes
Draco Malfoy = Begby Stingpot
Dormstillerwurst = Dementors? Or maybe Snape since it killed Farnigan?

He's got to be a troll.

Isn't this guy the second one to come out so publically? I seem to remember a woman who actually had some (terrible) books published.

She should try and recruit the Countess for her assistance. Surely the Countess would be pissed if she knew that JKR had more money than someone (non-existance notwithstanding) she is probably related to.

Anyway, I'm having a cool idea for a new Spartacus scene.

By command of His Most Merciful Excellency your lives are to be spared. Normal and tedious people you were and normal and tedious people you remain. But the terrible penalty of crucifiixion has been set aside on the single condition that you identify the body or the living person of the individual who originally thought up Harry Potter."

I actually wanted to write this one thing once, where this boy named Duke grows up to be a Yedi, and then he and his master have an illicit affair, and then he marries this girl named Fadmay, who used to be a queen and isn't anymore, and then he has this son, who he wants to kill, and then there was this really great line, "No, I am your father," but by the time I got it all written down there were already four movies out with the same exact plotline.

I never actually wrote any of my ideas down, I do not have a suitable court case against that thieving whore

OMG the same happened to me! In 1993, I thought I should make a movie about how a soon to be married rich girl and a poor boy met in the titanic and started a great love affair, but then the boy died shortly after the titanic was hit by an iceberg. In my story the boy screamed 'I'm the queen of the world' and was killed by the aliens, though. DAMN YOU, JAMES CAMERON!

Get Oliver Stone to make a movie for you. Case closed.

HP&PS/SS was published in 1997. Which means it was handed in in 1996 at least.

But such pedantry aside, this is engaging batshit. It has a strange charm like a kitten with red eyes.

This has to be a troll right? Because if it is real then it is almost too entertaining.
