	I'm always annoyed by the "You said something bad about my fics, so I'm going to take all my toys and go home! So there!" brats. Though I am heartily amused that the anonymous reviewer gets hated on, while the one person on her LJ that quotes anonymous heavily, and agrees with the criticism that was given, gets a polite response. I started reading wondering where the wank was, then it degenerated into a passive-agressive self-pity fest. Capital wank. I think it hits its zenith with this post from Leafy girl.

I appreciate the pep talk, but it was more than one reviewer. I am starting to see the anti-leafy bandwagon running past my window and I think its time to give up the ghost. I will finish genshi and post all at once to avoid the "you just do it for reviews" syndrome, and I hope the plot twists work, but I am surrendering.

Feeling like shit for a day is the end for me. I don't want that anymore.

You aren't the first today to say I disappoint them. Its a growing trend

I think the funniest part was where the commentors berated the original concrit-giver for having correct grammar by saying she just liked to hear her own voice.

Dude, there's just no way to win, is there? If your comment offends the author, then you're either jealous, wanky, incompetent or snooty!

And then people complain when you don't comment.

The thing I think is stupidest about all this is that the story's been up for a week and has already gotten over 250 reviews. Even if she managed to get fifty reviews like that during that time, and that one was just the straw that broke the camel's back, that'd still be a couple of hundred praising comments with just a handful (relatively) of non-flaming negative ones.

It makes me boggle.
