It'd be nice if there was a direct link to the wank, so when people are looking back on this in three years they won't have to hunt through the history of the entire starwars community.

You know, I've often defended the change by saying Anakin's ghost would either look like Hayden Christensen or Extra Crispy Sebastian Shaw, but not unblemished Sebastian Shaw in Jedi robes because Anakin never looked like that. But thishollowhill makes a good point--Anakin never wore that color scheme in life either. So apparantly you can make your ghost look like anything you want. I'm haunting my son in the form of Optimus Prime.

Ah SWank in the morning. I haven't been in SW fandom for awhile (because I prefer not to be wanky and I just can't stop about certain things), but it's so nostalgic. And they always wank about the same stupid crap. "Oo! GL made prequels and they weren't what I imagined! No! Purity of originals! That hack Lucas!" All it needs is a complaint that he used that Tatooine place again, like there aren't all kinds of planets in the galaxy (and all of them, naturally, would hold some kind of logical structural place as much as Tatooine does).

I loved Sebastian Shaw's performance in Vader's death scene, but you know, it makes more thematic sense for the ghost to revert to the form Anakin would remember of himself. He was never unblemished as an old man. And yes, of course ghosts can dress however they want; their appearances are made up anyway. It's all mental stuff. If Obi-Wan had wanted to appear in a pink tutu waving Harry Potter's magic wand, I'm sure he could do so.

Back when the clips were leaked, I kicked up enough of a fuss then to pretty much be 'meh' now. I really can't get excited about the original theatrical DVD releases because I've seen enough bs pulled throughout releases that I really won't believe it until they're there on the shelves to be purchased.

Even then, I'll wait a bit to hear what's being said on the assorted boards first.
