	I'm kinda enjoying the filler just because it has lots of lovely Ishida, unlike most of the current manga chapters glares at most of the current chapters It was also totally worth it for "My Pace." That whole ending sequence still makes me giggle madly. (Reply to this)(Parent)

	I like it. A lot. I missed Hanatarou. And as for filler hell - I point you to swathes of DragonBall. So much so it's joked about at anime conventions. I watched all of that, and I'm watching Naruto's filler arc stuff too. God, at least there's a decent plot going on. Really, Bleach fans don't know complaining...yet. :) (Reply to this)(Parent)

	I personally don't get why anyone would willingly subject themselves to shounen anime because, really - it's all about the filler. Shounen anime - like carbs, in a way. Oh well, it makes me not-upset about me going back home and away from my cable network at college. I don't miss Bleach as much as I would have if it were still in the Soul Society arc.

Ah yes, I was wondering if/when that post would make it here. My favorite part was the exchange of, "Read what the post actually says!" "No, you read what the post actually says!" "No, YOU read it!" "No, YOU!"

And hey, I'd be tempted to watch the Bleach anime - fillers and all - if the animators actually knew anything about, y'know, proportions. For being so popular, that show suffers from some of the wonkiest art I've ever seen.

I never could get into Bleach. I like shounen anime and manga (Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Gundam Wing, and Neon Genesis Evangelion YAY) but I just never could get much into Bleach. Not to criticize its fans, because I'll admit maybe I demand too much from anime, but honestly, I'm still an older-series fan for the most part. Though I do love Paranoia Agent, and am considering checking out Haibane Renmei and Ghost in the Shell.

What was it about the mid-to-late 90s that produced stuff like Gundam Wing and NGE and Trigun, and can we please somehow replicate it? Because I *like* mysteries, serious plots, deep characterization, psychodrama, conflict beyond just the generic "OMG I SMACK U WITH MY SUPERBLASTER NO I SMACK U WITH MY MEGABLASTER" fights. Of course, the slam-bang-flash fights aren't bad, nor is the fanservice, I just want a little something more.

If a title has "Shonen Jump's" in it and it's popular, you can pretty much bet that there will be filler and the manga storylines will be stretched out about eight times as much to milk it for everything it's worth. I'm already expecting 30 episodes of the Death Note anime to be dedicated to people monitoring security cameras and having filler like "Mello Raids A Hershey Factory". Nah, I doubt the filler would be that much fun.

	It sure does feel like never-ending filler land, but I'm not upset for two reasons: 1. it's better than nothing and 2. pretty pretty Ishida angst. Teenaged retardosity is entertaining, once a week. I agree that the animation's gone down the crapper, though. (Reply to this)
