The Day the Mocking Died. And then came back.
A mouse on wank_report dropped off all the reactionary links to this, and staring at it, I went, "Okay, that just ain't right." Since "over the top reactions to relatively unimportant events" qualifies....

The universe ticks happily along, content with its place, the mockery flowering and abundant, and then suddenly, a dark shadow falls upon fandom: [info]pottersues has been suspended.

People cry out in fear and dread, yea, they cry out even unto JournalFen.

In the darkness of this shadow, other fans of mockery quail against the tyranny of LJ abuse, and huddle together for warmth. "Should we be concerned?" some ask, while others, sensing the looming doom upon them all, skip straight to "We should leave LJ!"

But the gloom is suddenly pierced by a voice! It is Pottersues, speaking to us from beyond the grave, sharing with us the news that she really has no news, since she has no idea why what happened did.

Campaigns are suggested, and then hastily dropped, as Pottersues returns from the darkness like Gandalf, only not nearly so sparkly-white or ass-kicking.

"Hurrah!" the mockers cry. "Woohoo--wait, does this mean we don't need to fight the terrible LJ oppressors make changes?" Yea, even unto JournalFen did the sound of the Pottersue's return spread.

But what, you may ask, caused all this?
"Wow, you guys. That was weird. Not only did I get suspended for copyright violation, but I got suspended for an entry way back in May of 2005. One written by one "Snowflake Prongsette," who got her panties in a twist and went apeshit, even though I only posted an excerpt of her fic."
Specifically, this fic.

Say what?
