Is this wanky?
I'm not sure. But it boggled my mind, anyway.

"I can handle being at war... I can handle even Sean Biggerstaff not being in HP3.... But I need Draco..."

Definitely wanky. Anything that says, "The war is bad enough, but now [insert shallow fandom ramblings]" is very high on the wank scale.

Also, anything that starts out with: So I went to Walgreens to buy some tampons... has got to be highly entertaining.

Dude, that was a *vital* part of the story. If she hadn't said exactly *why* she was going to Walgreen's they might not have believed her.

Ha! Back when I was even more of a teenie than I currently am, I used to tear pages out of magazines all the time, because I figured it was safer than shoplifting. Then I would imagine that I was not in fact a teenie at all, and laugh about how some dumb teenie would buy that magazine and about how shattered she'd be when she found that the best pages were gone!

Ah, those were the days...

Related, but not exactly: I'm already tired of seeing posts that contain things like "You'd think with a WAR going on, people would have better things to do than (fill in the blank)."

ARGH!
1. There's always a war going on somewhere. Somehow we all manage to live our trivial damn lives anyway.
2. Most people probably ARE doing better things, in addition to doing (fill in the blank).
And big old 3. You'd think with a WAR going on, the person WRITING about people doing (fill in the blank) would ALSO have better things to do... and yet... and yet...

*sigh*

OH, I know. I also know it's a joke, but I found it amusing, anyway. ^^ Another wanky part, I think, is the woe of an unattractive Remus and Sirius.

Actually, I had a semibreakdown myself when Jude Law wasn't cast as Remus! Fucking bastards ruining my dream world

(I also wanted Viggo as Sirius...but *that* was a fangirl pipedream!)

I mean I don't know what good a source Deborah Barnes and Rachel Roberts are at Disney Adventures Magazine. But this is getting ridiculous. Unattractive Remus and Sirius... No more Oliver Wood... and now Tom Felton? GAH!

HOW DARE THEY CAST ACTORS WHO ARE NOT ATTRACTIVE!!!! HOW DARE THEY?!?!?!

I'm pretty sure that's against some kind of international law, Saj. In fact, casting unattractive people may, itself, be an act of war!

They should make movies that have nothing but attractive people. And they can have sex and stuff.

The funny thing about all the whining they do about Tom and Dan leaving after this movie is, once the fourth movie comes out with the new guys, they'll start drooling about them and forget all about Dan and Tom.

The thing is, if you read PoA, neither Remus nor Sirius are ever described as attractive people. They're both kind of haggard.

But damn it, we can't enjoy a movie if our favorite imaginary gay couple aren't attractive! Then it's no fun imagining them engaging in hot sweaty man love.

(An embarassed Parryhotter member. Man they've been wanky lately.)
