Yes, Virginia. The Internet is scary.
Having just seen The Dresden Dolls this evening, I've been poking the internet to provide me with more punk cabaret tastiness. In my quest I found this surreal little fapfest. Uhm, what the hell ass balls? </a>

I can tell you that there are several emo bands that do try to put the moves on their 14-year-old fans (I remember my friend being hit on at 14 after she had aleady told some bassist her age) and lying about it really isn't actually funny (I dare call troll on the OP? At the very least they made up the artical if even people who don't like them can't find it). What a douchebag. Brian and Amanda are really nice, I've met them and I know several people who follow them up and down the East Coast to all of their shows (which, granted, is a bit obsessive at best) and hang out with them after shows all the time.

I vaguely remember having seen that comm before. I think my favourite post was a grudgewank festival in which someone apparently knew Amanda in college and didn't like her because she was OMG mean and weird. Or something.

Oh, and I think the Toriphiles pitched a total fapstorm at one point after the journal on the official site where Amanda wrote a not totally glowing entry about the work of Ms. Amos. Why, yes, the entry does get positive at the end. Why, no, Tori Amos fandom doesn't have reading comprehension.

Anyway, I am deeply jealous of you for having seen them live.
