SasuNaru v. NaruSasu

Pairing Naruto and Sasuke is quite popular in Naruto fandom, but some people have very strong ideas about just how they should be paired.

Quite recently, I stumbled upon a few faithful NaruSasu fans spamming pics and witty dialogue in the name of fighting the good fight. Seriously, the disgusting number of butchseme!Sasuke and weepyuke!Naruto fans has started to grate rather nastily on my already frayed nervous system, and the contributions made by those sane members of the fandom was enough to inspire my own deluge of fanart.

Needless to say, response is swift.

Bonus: Apparently there is an entire comm devoted to this important question.

This brings back fond memories of the 1x2 versus 2x1 arguments. Seriously, people, it doesn't matter who tops, and, ignoring the fact that it's unlikely that one person tops all the time, not topping does not mean that the other person is a crying little girl who happens to have a random cock attached.

I wish I knew a short way to designate a pairing where both partners were equal. (<.<) I call my Naruto fic "SasuNaru" just because I like the phrase itself better than "NaruSasu", but both of them are equal. Not to mention they haven't slept together yet, so neither one can be "top" or "bottom". (^.^)

I saw a fic like that once (Not of Sasuke and Naruto, though) and it got a couple reviews telling the author that he/she was "doing it wrong"

Every time I see this kind of wank, I look at myself, and wonder if anything is wrong with me, since I belong to these who, like, switch around.

Maybe it is an inherited masculine trait that I can never grasp due to me being of the wrong gender? I suppose I will never understand the need for such fixed roles in yaoi.

Or maybe these people just are very stupid and completely overdo some pairing idiocy.

I've just never been able to get into the hardcore pairings. I think to myself, well A and B would be nice, but what about A and C? Hey, let's throw in D for kicks and giggles! And while I like me some yaoi, I also like the yuri and even *gasp* OH NOES het!
So I've never declared certain ships set in stone, nor will I ever use such a rigid relationship dynamic. Maybe this is why I like crack pairings, and for the most part I draw parody.

And I can't just draw yaoi fanart, damn it. Because then I wouldn't get to draw bewbs, and where's the fun in that??
