Lighten Up, This is Project Runway!
Over at [info]projectrunway [info]seeeffdubb makes a post about how she thinks Michael Knight is teh hotness. She gives two reasons why she finds him attractive, one being that he is "the only viable straight guy on the show".

People react with anger, surprise, or with just being weird.

[info]smokeinmybed is so flustered by [info]seeeffdubb's post that he/she/it makes a post of their own.

Things just get dumber from there.

Edit: [info]theinnerlight has had enough with everyone's asshattery and has left the fandomcommunity.

I never thought I would I would find Project Runway RPS. Then I visted the link and was happily suprised. I'm gonna have fun reading some Andrea/Danny tonight.

As for the wank, I can't really say I'm suprised. I'm suprised it took this long for it happen this season. I really thought there would be more wank about Malan being kicked off.

There was less wank and more "OMG MALAAAAAAAN NOOOO," really. The sentiment that he should not have gone was largely unanimous across the board. It's actually quite nice to read his blog, he comes across as even more of a sweetheart.

I'm surprised [info]projectrunway hasn't managed to get up any better wank than this.

Then again, give it time. Having been spotlighted on LJ's home page this week, it's been overrun by the usual clueless idiots who don't bother to read back through earlier posts to see what's already being discussed, who haven't read the community's userinfo and spoiler policies, and who can't seem to fathom the complexities of lj-cuts. And on top of that, they all seem to be 16 years old and feel the need to make introductory posts.

These people couldn't find [info]projectrunway on their own, and now that they've been led there--well, let's just say the toxic stupidity level is rapidly approaching [info]ohnotheydidnt levels. And despite this, the wank is pretty tepid.

I'm actually kind of surprised that the community didn't make it here sooner, because of the flood of "OMGFIRSTPOSTLULZ!" posts, and the corresponding flood of "OMGSTFUNOOB!" posts. Then the n00bs struck back with "OMGUMEENIES!" posts and I sighed and went back to bitching about Angela's pants.

To be honest, though, I didn't join the community until I saw it on ljspotlight. I was already involved in conversations and gossip about the show on two different message boards, and wasn't sure I needed to talk about it anymore. Then Sketchgate broke and Malan got kicked off and now I can't shut up about it. I've never been the type to make an intro post on anything, though, and I don't see the need to start now.

It's nice to see that House isn't the only fandom that thinks CAPSLOCK, image macros, blinking/scrolling/multi-colored text, and stupidity is the new neutral.
