To Chav and Chav Not
Well, the BBC just posted pictures for the 3rd season of Dr. Who. And already some people are up in arms.



The Doctor has a new suit and a new companion. Over at time_and_chips the fans start by complaining about the wardrobe change.

Theres a small debate about whether Martha is just like Rose and whether Rose would ever wear a shiny jacket.

Mostly, the comments are pretty tame until gem_pinkeh pops in to say Martha=bit of a whore. When others disagree, she throws in the additional observation that "where I'm from, if someone dressed like that, they're a bit of a chavvy whore."

doylefan22 begs to differ, being from "chav central" and all, and much discussion ensues about whether gem_pinkeh really knows what a chav is. Somehow, HP fans get thrown into the mix, but I haven't figured that one out yet.

Furthermore, apparently being covered from head to toe and wearing one's hair up makes one look like a bit of a whore.
